I have both the ps3 and 360 but im gonna get it for the 360 because of the downloadable content and i prefer the 360 controller.Personally i think the game will look the same on both systems though.
Its going to be pretty interesting if we compare sales by percentage of install base and not just by copies sold. And also the dlc for the 360 is just because the game wouldn't fit on dvd lol. Just messing but maybe plausible I'll have to look into it since bringing it up now. Hmmm
THe only exception to the multiplats sell better on 360 was DMC 4. Why? because DMC does strong sales in Japan and Europe and wasnt totally dependant on the US.
Honestly, it could be a either or situation. If were comparing WW sales (which is the only sales that matter) then PS3 version has a pretty good chance of outselling the 360 version.
its funny really....i think the ps3 will sell better...ONLY because every staore i go to (bestbuy,circut city etc..i see gta advertised for the ps3. where do these stores get their add posters from?

A man i dont about that but GTA4 has been advertised for the 360 a whole lot every since it was first announced.Trust me,were gonna see a 360 logo at the end of the GTA4 commercials.
I think for total sales 360 will win by probably a good amount. However, if you look at percentage of sales per console (based on the total number of consoles sold) I haven't a clue what will happen. You might see a higher percentage of PS3 owners with the game than 360 owners, but it could be the other way around.

A man i dont about that but GTA4 has been advertised for the 360 a whole lot every since it was first announced.Trust me,were gonna see a 360 logo at the end of the GTA4 commercials. No it won't it the commercial will have both logos below the Grand theft Auto IV title.
To all those people who say GTA only sells in USA, you'd be surprised. I live in the UK and everyone I've ever met between the ages of 14 and 25 owns GTA San Andreas on the PS2 with the exception of maybe 5............. GTA is a world seller.
I think PS3 might take it just about because, as someone said earlier, not everyone is as well informed about GTA on the Xbox360 as the people on System Wars, also, when they do hear about it, they will most likely do what lesser informed people do and think that it will run better on the Playstation because all the other games came out first on the Playstation even though the versions are supposed to be identical. Also, you aren't exactly going to see TV ads saying "GTA4 gets DLC on Xbox360!" before the game is released...............
Although the 360 has DLC on its side, most casuals have no idea and associate GTA with PlayStation. Therefore I would say that the PS will benefit most from GTA and may sell more.
Imo even though the 360 has more consoles in gamers hands atm, I think the PS3 version will ultimately sell more copies. Why you ask? Well it is simply the fact that the GTA series has been synomynous with the PLAYSTATION name for years now. While only one game in the entire series actually made it way to the XBOX. Imo, more people who own PS3's will buy GTA IV than those that own 360's will!!!
If MS can dish out the money for an EXTENSIVE ad campaign to let people know GTA4 is also on the 360 then its going to sell alot better on the 360 then the ps3.

Um...all three made it to the XBox and got visual improvements to boot, not to mention customizable soundtracks (San Andreas took it one step further, IIRC by adding a radio station asset).
easily 360 because of the attachment rate, the dlc and the hardcores. the ps3 verison will just go to hardcore, ppl won't buy the console for the game unless they are a hardcore....that is if the commericalks advertise for 360 and ps3 or just one or the other console, like with cod4 it just advertised for the ps3 because that needed the most sales to cacth up.
