@blueinheaven: That's your comeback lol? Console gamers won't even have the option.

cant believe youtube is smarter than all you guys lol
no one is talking about the downgrade of gddr5x used in the new pascals to last gens gddr5 used in 980ti.
at least thats what the youtube comments section all bitched about.
Well if you focus on just...
You throw a hissy fit.
BUT!... The Ti has a 384 Bit Bus compared to the 256 Bit Bus in the 1080 so it actually offer better bandwidth. Once you add the fact that it has more cores than the 1080.... and a higher Core Clock than the Titan X then the Ti looks like a beast that could out perform a Titan X once overclocked.

So the memory is slower but it's got more bandwith now, making it faster ?

Every console gamer has that option right now but they choose to ignore it, they don't want to spend close to 1k just to play games. You need to get a handle on that insecurity man, it's eating you up and making you post nonsense.
@blueinheaven: Me insecure? You're the one who brought up the stupidity of "loolololol only 0.000000001% of PC gamers will have that".
Well 0% of console gamers will have that so there's nothing to laugh about.
I was just commenting on how PC gamers give it the big one about every new piece of hardware as though they own it when chances are they never will. Not sure what I'm supposedly insecure about being a PC gamer myself but whatever man...
@blueinheaven: Just like the 1080 that was sold out for like two months? I used to buy mid level gpus, but now that consoles are shit, I spend the money I would have spent on consoles on more expensive parts. I'm sure I'm not the only consumer to see the lack of value in consoles this past gen.
That's going to be a monster of a card, hope it overclocks well
I knew I should have waited :P....I bet this thing will be around $800+ though
I even already knew the 1080ti was in development ever since both 1080/1070 launch but that GPU wasn't even on my radar anyways, I love my GTX 1070 and don't plan on even upgrading till for the next 3/4 years.
Yeah my 1080 will be good for about that long as well.....it has to be :P
There's nothing you can't run maxxed out in 1440p with that card at 60fps and a lot of things in 4K too. All these people claiming to be playing everything in 4K are full of it and probably go straight back to LoL or WoW after lying on the internet.
Well there's two things that would scupper you there. Super sampling and Star Citizen.
A bog standard 1080 outputs at similar levels as my overclocked 980Ti (+30% over reference 980Ti) and SSAA definitely pulls my frame rates under 60
@chikenfriedrice A GTX 1080 will do you fine for several years, it's only upgrade junkies, like me, that change hardware sooner.

PS4 Pro rekt!
Don't you mean Scorpio REKT?
lol PS4 isn't the system that has to go head to head sharing the same games with PC by default.
So it stands to reason that anyone who has a rig with this card would consider getting a Scorpio is a dead argument. Conversely, someone who owns this card could still benefit from owning a PS4 Pro because of it's extensive Sony exclusives. So it's Scorpios loss here not PS4 Pros sorry to break it to you bud.

Sony wants to compete with PC. MS is embracing it. Sony REKT!

When it comes to GPU's VRAM Memory Bandwidth is king. Its the reason why everyone is so excited for HBM... high BANDWIDTH memory ;).

Yeah, I've heard about HBM.
But let's say hypothetically a GTX1080ti exists with the same memory bandwith, and it has GDDR5X instead of GDDR5, that would be even better, right ?

If it had 384 bit bus GDDR5X then yes it would match the Titan X's memory bandwidth. Either way its still better than the GTX 1080 and will easily out perform it and that's the whole point of the Ti... It outperforms the standard **80 GPU and comes close or matches the Titan.
My main concern is price... The 10 series jumped up by £100 for each segment, so this is going to be a £700-800 GPU.

Yeah I feel that GTX1080 and Titan are very expensive and the higher end cards have gone up in prices compared to previous gens.
I don't expect this GTX1080ti to be cheap :P
Pretty cool. Not upgrading though, I'm happy with my 980TI Strix .
I'm looking forward to the next big thing: Volta TI HBM2
Hi 5.
Real 4K gaming at 60fps ever closer to becoming a reality on PC. Every PC gamer will brag about it and 0.0000001% of them will actually have it lol.
Which in actual numbers millions more than all the console gamers will ever be able to play lol.
