Do you really think the graphics stink, because GG series has probably the best 2D graphics aside from 3s..........

Can anyone tell me why Third Strike is so under-rated. *Commercial wise*

To tell you the truth 3s didnt get popular with casual player till after it came out for PS2 and Xbox known as Street Fighter Anniversary Edition, but most hardcore players had it for Dreamcast or played it at their local Arcade in 1998 or 1999, plus casual players are so taken by 3D fighter like DoA that they for get about Great 2D fighters like MvC2, 3s, CvS2, ST, and any other great 2D fighter thats widely played by the hardcore fighting game community.....:D........

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="Sooshy"]I'm sorry, but it really upsets me that fighting games are coming out and are not online. I'm not saying this as bash towards the Wii, I'm talking about Virtual Fighter and any other fighting game. I'm personally not going to buy any fighter unless I can play online.

Fighters are not good online games. Even the tiniest amount of lag will ruin the experience. Splitscreen is still good for some things.

Very true, also with online framerate takes a huge drop, and cheaters exploit the glitches and unbalances of the game to the very end. This is why you NEVER see fighting game fans *true fans of the genre, aka those who buy and master the games* go online.

Thats is so true, I go to tourny's all the time for Street Fighter 3:Third Strike and Super Turbo and I do fairly good but online I'm a total Scrub.........:D

See this is why I get mad when 360 *fanboys not fans* say that the 360 has better fighting games then the PS3 or the Wii's VC because of online, seriously why would you play online.

I play Jump Ultimate Stars and online is horrible, it's more fun playing the COM IMHO.

Thats why I dont listen o the 360 fanbos, because most of them argue for the sake of arguing................

Seriously online in a fighting game is pointless.

Yup that's why I play Street Fighter III, SNK Capcom EO 2, Guilty Gear 2X Reloaded, DOAU, and DOA4 on noes Online fighters are pointless. No your post just are. Online fighters are amazing and playing online greatly extends any fighting games value.

Time. Fighters are not popular as they use to be. FPS, Hack-n-slash, rpgs, and racers took the spot light.

Lag destroys the entire experience in fighting games online. If you want competition go to the EVO tournament.

I shouldn't have to drive hours to a tournament to play with other people. Sometimes I just want to play for fun and learn to get better, but I can't. Them putting an online mode in the game make you do any worse when you play in a tournament. It's not hurting anything to do with the people that want to play offline.

Exactly. All fighters should be online. But all competitive tournaments should remain offline. Having online doesn't hurt offline get over yourselves.

So just because you're Hardcore about your fighting games and like to play in person means that the rest of the gaming community should be denied an online mode? Ummm yeah...Madden is completely different online then offline and I don't see people saying "Oh please don't put Madden online it will ruin the game:cry:" You wanna play online go ahead. You wanna play for the $100,000 then win a regional and go to Hawaii point being cator to everyone not just the Hardcore.

I have to agree with that. If a fighter has online gaming, the player is not forced to use it. Online can infact provide a great deal of replay value.

Fighting games are different. Blackbond you should know the precision and timing in a game like VF and how that affects lag.

Guilty Gear X#2 Reload has online but due to lag problems Accent Core doesn't have it.

So you guys are arguing that they should not include online modes in these games because of latency issues.

I honestly don't see why it matters to you. You're obviously going to play it offline whether it has online or not, and it being playable online would not effect you at all. What's the beef?

True fighting games online tend to be horrible most of the time. But if others can't find friends to play with and find online as an alternative then that's fine, it's not like I have to play it online I can choose. I just find it's lagging and glitch exploits just to much for me.

Yup that's why I play Street Fighter III, SNK Capcom EO 2, Guilty Gear 2X Reloaded, DOAU, and DOA4 on noes Online fighters are pointless. No your post just are. Online fighters are amazing and playing online greatly extends any fighting games value.

What is your problem calm down and get rid of that horrible attitude. I was just saying that in my honest opinion I find online in fighting game not too purposed due to the fact that many things important to it such as time and precision are taken away *which others in this thread agree with*. If you don't mind that or think it's as big as a deal as I and others in this thread think and still like to play online , fine by me we all have different opinions *shown as some in this thread agree with you*, but don't cry and whine and call all my posts "pointless" just because I disagree with something that involves your hobby.

What version of Third Strike has online?  Is it the one on Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, and if so, is this backwards compatible with the 360?  Can you play online with the game on 360?

If true, I need to pick this up (and tell my friends to do it as well!).

 Thanks

Yes but I've heard in Japan and other regions Third Strike isn't really that noticed, instead Guilty Gear and King of Fighters are.
