"Either way things are about to get interesting"
Hm. No, sorry, but not really, since it's been done once already.
But alright, I guess as long as their status is set to: 'no girlfriend/friends/life/education/career forever mode', I suppose they're bound to find hacking interesting.
How does one hack a network anyway, do you need a ps3?
Well this whole got out of hand a looong time ago, I will keep suggesting what I have been suggesting for ages. Find a hacker, track him down, utilize the yakuza to good effect, make an example of him, send a message. Or else you'll get what you're seeing now, hackers running a mock, thinking they **** anyone and get off scot free

:| Yeah because thats working so well with the piracy community... Companies need to reward the legitimate purchaser, the person following the law.. Right now its the polar opposite.. In which measures to stop piracy or hacking is harming the legitimate purchaser and is hardly slowing down the hacker/pirate.
Isn;t that what everyone was saying at the beginning of April. How did that turn out again?Talk is cheap...

Thank you for proving you know nothing about the hacking community. A hacker craves attention, so punishing one will just drive the rest to work extra hard. Sony lost because their hubris outwe got in the way and their incompotant IT gepartment wasn't close to ready for the attack...How does one hack a network anyway, fo you need a ps3?

I think you misunderstand, I am advocating the use of violence, these corporation have alot of resources at thier disposal, especially unsavoury ones (hitmen, contract killers, hired goons). If something isnt done soon, these basementdwelling losers will become a cancer of the digital age.We get it you don't like Sony.BTW if the hackers do it during the 5 hour Sony borefest, they win the award for coolest videogame moment of 2011,,,,

If something isnt done soon, these basementdwelling losers will become a cancer of the digital age. So your idea is for Sony to murder thousands of people around the world...? Not only is that ideologically questionable, it's practically impossible. You can't kill every hacker in the world. Seriously, Sony caught all this attention from the Hotz case because they tried to chase this business down the rabbit hole in the first place. They thought they could end all piracy in one fell swoop, and people laughed at Anon when they declared they were coming for them. I don't think escalation is the answer on Sony's part.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

If something isnt done soon, these basementdwelling losers will become a cancer of the digital age. Let's use violence to stop everyone from doing bad things. How about instead of paying a police force, we just burn around handing out swift justice as we see fit?Well, I guess it could happen again, but the system is different and probably closely watched now so those that do hack PSN next will get caught.
I remember when hackers first made a threat against sony everyone was like they cant to anything, their a bunch of basement dwellers, their all talk etc. Then PSN went down for 3 weeks, im sure these people can hack the new psn just as easily as the old one.

I don't think escalation is the answer on Sony's part.you only need to find 1 and set an example, that was sony's mistake with hotz, they tried to stop him rules and laws, hackers dont play by the rules, and neither should you, the problem with groups like anon is they thrive on the anonymiity the web provides, if they think they can be found and dealt with (death by pistol whipping) they might pull a stop to thier ridiculous crusades.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

Plus they might stop the whole we are legion crap, and stop ruining V for Vendetta for movie lovers everywhere.
My initial post was for the loand not to be taken seriously, but if recenttrends are to be taken seriously, every time oneof these maggotts throws a tantrum, a bank somewhere will be be hacked and millions will be peu at risk, or who knows an oil company or traffic lights and utilities, think die hard 4.0 :P
Im really sad with sony. Seriously this isnt ironical statement nor trolling.
PS3 didnt work for them , billions of loses and when the guys at last had some profits
... Heres a big tsunami in Japan that affected ALL major ( or almost) companies in japan and here is the hack thing , a god knows how many millios net loses etc etc.....
Not that Sony wont survive this but its 1 hit after the other. Its a shame if you see it as a gamer.

If regular people knew how to hack networks...the infrastructure of the internet would have crumbled by now.
Depends on the group. There's some who want attention, others want cash and others just want to see the world burn.Thank you for proving you know nothing about the hacking community. Without hackers you have no computer security experts or IT innovators. Network cracks haven't suddenly risen, they're just being public about it due to the nature of them, with both Sony and Wikileaks they're trying to effect public opinion by bringing the topics to light not just destroy their systems.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

It'll be easy, by the look of all the separate hacks it's not just a simple flaw, the entire system is insecure and you can't even design a secure system in 3 weeks.[QUOTE="Zaibach"]I remember when hackers first made a threat against sony everyone was like they cant to anything, their a bunch of basement dwellers, their all talk etc. Then PSN went down for 3 weeks, im sure these people can hack the new psn just as easily as the old one.

Nothing new, according to the US government that happens thousands of times a day. They just don't publicise it as the fear is much more damaging than the hack. Banks lose billions to fraud yet they never publicise a hack. You know what they say about hackers, they can get into anything except for a woman's underwear.....ad1x2Lol!:P
These Hackers need to GTFO. Its over. Why cotinue?

.... because they can..... ??
I don't want to see Sony destroyed.... but I do want to see them on their knees begging for mercy. They are arrogant, and deserve to pay for being so.

I hope what your saying is a joke...They may be smart enough to hack psn. But are they dumb enough to do it while everyone including the government is watching sony. Sounds like they wanna get busted river_rat3117^^This^^ Which leads me to two possible theories....
1. The hackers are bluffing and really don't want to risk law enforcement smashing down the doors to their basements.
2. They're sure they can outwit the FBI Hannibal Lecter-style and remain off the radar.
lol they used to say the same thing about gamers. in fact many people still do. lol."Either way things are about to get interesting"

Wow, you realize they are basically indirectly attacking gamers, right? Its not Sony who loses, its the Gaming audience. If hackers take Sony out, you know next its gonna be Microsoft or Nintendo.[QUOTE="moistsandwich"][QUOTE="VensInferno"]

How mature, you know the higher ups wont be effected much in the slightest by anoher attack as where if it costs Sony too much money they will start to cut off branches "And employees" It's always great to have a mature outlook on things.[QUOTE="moistsandwich"][QUOTE="VensInferno"]

Why does Sony need to be punished in the first place?
Because they are arrogant, talk crap about the competition instead of just bragging about their own product, try to bully people, sue other corporations for being too competitive, have a false sense of entitlement... need I go on?
Why do you think Sony Corp are such angels?
It's like the internet phenom of that kid beating down the bully, it's nice to see the Bully put in his place.
I would love to know what people have a beef with Sony over; particularly if they aren't beefing with Nintendo and Microsoft for the exact same business practices.

yeah but that "putting the bully in its place" shouldnt be done by attacking the info of the consumer. that all thats coming out of this. people losing credit card numbers and personal info and they claim its to attack sony? bs. niether sony or the hackers are winners in my book but as long as i play my ps3 online and buy stuff off psn, i will only have anything to gain by sony winning this fight not the hackersPlease Log In to post.
