SInce this is the last Halo being released, it would be only fitting and a great way to end one of the greatest trilogies of all of gaming. Imagine the complete chaos if September 25th we found out that remade Halo 1 and 2 was included with the copy of Halo 3. I don't care if came on 3 disc. I know i'm dreaming big but just what if?That would be the biggest surprise of all of gaming. I feel that if Halo 3 is the end, shouldn't they remake the other two and put them on the same graphical and gameplaystandpoints as the third?

The same thing should be done with the MGS series

They would do this to just surprise everyone? To be nice and take a loss for their fans?

What loss? They would sell more copies and more systems then even they would with only Halo 3. Plus Bungie's rep would grow even BIGGER. To epic proportions. Hell even if they remade the other two and sold them for $29.99 each... that would be incredible. I know I would buy them and I know millions of gamers would do the same

The masterchief storyline is a trilogy.

and lets get real Halo Wars is a RTS. and the peter jackson game we dont even know the genre.

Could very well end up a third person shooter game or something.

As for as the main 3 games, its a legit trilogy. I highly doubt we will see this storyline continued or a direct sequal to the trilgoy itself.

To not advertise extra work, disks and used resources, but hide it as atreat is not good planning.

No, i'm not counting Halo Wars, and i'm not counting the Peter Jackson project either. But i highly doubt MS and Bungie would be dumb enought to "kill" a vg icon, the Master Chief. Yes, they said it's a trilogy, but then again, i highly doubt Halo will end after the third game. So do you really think we will not see a Halo 4, or a Halo without the Master Chief?

because it's pointless. MGS1 makes sense, as the game is graphically mud. But Halo games arent that old, and dont look like mud, and would be pointless to remake. The only thing worth remaking is possibly H:CE on xbox live. but other than that, hell no.

The Halo series are FLAGSHIP titles for the Xbox Platform. Like Super Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid are FLAGSHIP titles for Nintendo Platforms.

Halo 3 is NOT THE END ALL BE ALL game for the franchise.

yes i honestly believe we will see spinoffs. remember before the Halo 3 announcement how Bungie might not even make the game. there were all those rumors about how they didnt wanna do Halo no more.

Its just Like Kojima they want to move on. So what both have done now is put a finish into the series. and personally if Halo is left as a trilogy i would be happy as a Halo fanboy.

When it gets its AAA scores and like 6-10 million sales what will the haters have left....."its overrated"

if it continues all we are going to hear is rehash and personally id like to see Halo go out as one of the best Gaming Trilogies ever that just got spinoffs.

All marketing strategies if you ask me. Would be the same if someday Nintendo decided not to make any more Mario or Zelda games. So after Halo 3 we will not have a fps with the Master Chief for the 360, or for the successor of the 360? What would make a company end a series that sells like water in the desert, and btw, the main series for its console? Because it was intended to be a trilogy? Take Resident Evil for instance, it sells, and it sells a lot, and it's still here.

remaking it will only ruin the series..i say the same thing about FF7. people think by playing FF7 on the ps3 with updated graphics and sound..they will have the same feeling and joy they felt when the first planned it so many years ago..no..if anything you will feel disapointed and wonder why on earth you wanted a remake in the first place. SE should just remake a classic snes FF.

As should every other iteration of every other game series that was released on a less technologically advanced console. We can all dream what great games would be like on current gen consoles, but alas it is but a dream, because in all likelyhood it won't happen.

PC's standards, but if you consider superior graphics, controls, achievements, features and mods inferior I suppose it was worse.

GS review games based on what games of the same genre has to offer on the specific system, so you cant compare 7.0 on the pc with 7.0 on a 360 for exemple it just shows that the pc already has much better games

um higher standard and there versions came out after.

Halo Combat Evolved is awesome on PC and was better(online MP and mods help that)

AND IMO that Halo PC game is one of my favorite PC shooters. Id put it up there.

ofcourse the hermits would completely deny that Combat Evolved was a AAA shooter when it was on PC as well and deserved its success.

Explain how it's a stupid idea to remake them

Because there series is fairly new, people still play Halo 1 and Halo 2 for hours its not like they have been forgotten and they need a fresh graphics coat to remind people how great they were, besides, the graphics still hold up as decent. Halo 3 is coming out, isnt that enough? It will finish the fight and include fun and amazing multiplayer. Do you really expect Bungie to make Halo games for the rest of there career? Bungie has to do something new, Halo may of done a lot for them but im sure they want to make something new.

True, but if they included the new AI, physics, gameplay features, and graphics from Halo 3 and remade Halo 1 and 2. It would be a different experience, and would be worth it to long time fans, and to first time fans.

Halo 1's level design could have used a lot of work(Library anyone?). Halo 2 was a mess, even Bungie said they messed up big time with it. They could benefit from a remake IMO. If they included the new AI, physics, gameplay features, and graphics from Halo 3 and remade Halo 1 and 2. No, no, no and no! Remaking them is just a waste of time and a waste of our hard earn money. You're getting Halo 3. Isn't that enough? If you think that bungie is going to retire their cash cow just to make the Halo series a trilogy, you're mistaken. Ever heard of prequels or better yet a sequel. I can't picture the next Xbox hardware launching without a Halo game or being made later on. When Xbox720 launches then a remake of Halo 1-2 would be appropriate. But now, no. What we need now is less remakes and more fresh ideas because some sequels look very similar to their predecessors.

They alread have the engine, the textures, the voiceovers, the sound track, the story. Why are remakes even made then? It wouldn't take as much time or money as one would think. It's not like they are starting from scratch. And I don't know about you but the Resident Evil remake on the gamecube was a big difference compared to the PS1 version. Even though it was pretty much the same game with the same exact story, just better graphics and with slightly tweaked gameplay made it feel like a completely different game.

Hmm, it's been out for 6 years, I've been a fan of halo for 6 years. I consider 6 years a long enough time, though some people have some ""rules that a trilogy has to be at least 10 years old to be considered a long time anything. And out of that whole post, all you could come up with was that? Rather lame attempt on your part.

So you know what it takes to make a game? Oh wait, no you don't. Please don't talk nonsense, because you have no idea. This is a bad idea and an unneccesary waste of time. Save it for the modding community, if at all.

the franchise is young, and it still has a strong comunity that dosent feel the need for a Remake, there are much bigger franchises with a much bigger comunity that could use remakes and make money out of it, a Chrono Trigger remake would be a huge deal imo, as its been already shown a FF7 rmk would make hordes of fanboys to buy a ps3.

if you think 6 years is a long time you probly are a young gamer, and if you think that just because they already have the models, sound and everything else it would be cheaper to create a game you are wrong, it would be a little cheaper not a lot, they woudnt profit from it and again the franchise is no old enough for a Remake, its TOO soon, but again a fanboy wont listen to logic so i wont try to use that anymore

[QUOTE="coolviper2003"] They alread have the engine, the textures, the voiceovers, the sound track, the story. Why are remakes even made then? It wouldn't take as much time or money as one would think. It's not like they are starting from scratch. And I don't know about you but the Resident Evil remake on the gamecube was a big difference compared to the PS1 version. Even though it was pretty much the same game with the same exact story, just better graphics and with slightly tweaked gameplay made it feel like a completely different game.organic_machine

So you know what it takes to make a game? Oh wait, no you don't. Please don't talk nonsense, because you have no idea. This is a bad idea and an unneccesary waste of time. Save it for the modding community, if at all.

Yes, assumeI have no idea how to make a game except the fact I went to college for 2 years for that. I love it how people assume things. And if you're curious, no I am not in the game making world, I've decided I rather own a business then work for someone for a living.

meaning you have no idea how the market works and what it takes to make a game BESIDES the developers tool's, there are more then just acctually making the game before you sell it you know that right?

[QUOTE="coolviper2003"][QUOTE="Mizarus"]

[QUOTE="coolviper2003"][QUOTE="osirisomeomi"]Well Halo 1 and 2 are not really games that would benefit from remaking...Mizarus

It would be a different experience, and would be worth it to long time fans, and to first time fans.

.... please elaborate how somone can consider halo a LONG TIME franchise... it like to hear that

Yes, insult me at the end by calling me a fanboy, because a real mature preson would go that low. I'm 22, so I guess I am fairly young seeing as how the average age for a gamer is in the late 20's to early 30's.

Right, because I would actually waste my time to open a company with no idea how marketing works, research and development, manufactoring costs, conforming to strict guidelines, etc... Yeah, I have no idea, I should just stop while I'm ahead huh?

you expect me to believe that? and seriously, even if you did go to college "for that," it would require more years than 2. Let me guess, community college? You don't have any inkling of anything you are saying. You have made statements that hold no value and you make up lies about how you went to school "for that."

a remade Halo could be cool, no reason for Halo 2 since it is not that old.
