No one is sure whether that's Beta or not.

And besides, it looks noticeably better than Halo 2. Those graphics are perfectly suitable for multiplayer.

It says beta on the footage, so yes it is beta.  Anyway yeah the graphics look fine, and can only improve from here.

But it does look way better than halo2 and it's only going to get better. 

Man I don't even care about grafics for Halo 3, as long as the multiplayer is exactly the same, with no bugs, and slightly better graphics, along with the old weapons, and new ones, I'll have a blast playing this. This maybe the sole reason to have a 360, this and Gears.

People don't play Halo for graphics, they play to kill random kids on LIVE. Halo 2 was probably one of the Top 10 funnest online multiplayer games last gen. All I care about is the fun-factor.

They arnt going to go from that to Crysis in a few months, what you see is pretty much what you are going to get...

Those Halo 3 pics are horribly compressed and still blow away the Halo 2 pics,

Please people wait till the public beta is released and we get some high res shots of maps that are further along the development cycle than Last Resort. (High Ground, Snowbound and Valhalla).

Or wait for the actual retail game with all bells and whistles on before condemning the game.

Why does every Hermit/Cow think all games have to look like Crysis, or even that all fans want or need their favourite games to look like Crysis  ???

Has Crysis become the pinnacle of gaming all of a sudden?

No because that map right there is not a finished map at all, hell it wasnt even supose to be released to the public at all not to mention the video was low res so its hard to see the high res textures in some places.  The only time we can judge is when we get to play the 3 maps that are in the beta come the 16th because they said those are the most polished maps they have and also we will be able to compair Alpha to beta video's.  Overall it looks better than halo 2 but atm it doesnt look like the best game out, we will have to wait and see in a few weeks.

wait.... if you dont care about graphics, and want the game to be exactly the same, than your practically buying halo 2(since you want same gameplay) with extra maps and weapons.

If Halo 2 on Xbox can look this close to Halo 3 on Xbox 360 then there actually is hope that some Wii games could look pretty good, as long as developers push the system in the same way Bungie pushed the Xbox with Halo 2...

Actually we should expect Halo 3 to look like halo 2 considering it's using alot of halo 2 textures as place holders. Bungie is known for having their games look like crap till the last minute. This goes specifically with Halo 1. Give bungie time and they will deliver.

By looking at those screenshots, Halo 3 does look a lot like like a higher resoultion version of Halo 2 with some better textures and lighting here and there. I'm hopeful that will change for the better in the coming months , but if not I hope the gameplay makes up for it's lack of impressive visuals.

Yea! I still play halo 2 now and compared to gears and other next-gen games it looks like ****! but that doesn't make it any less fun, buts that doesn't mean i don't think the graphics arnt going to be good, I'm just waiting for some single player screens.

if ur an out of touch PC gamer whose only real good exclusive game for their $1500 system..then yes it has
