Halo 3 - 2 Years On, Still One Of The Best Online Shooters On Consoles

So it's over two years now since Halo 3 was released for the XBOX 360, and in my opinion, it's still one of the best online shooters available on consoles.

I know that some people will disagree, but I still find the game to be a blast to play and Bungie have supported it very well with new multiplayer maps to keep me coming back to the game over and over again.

Do any of you guys still stick Halo 3 now and again for some online multiplayer?

The finest most complete single game package this gen. and I'm thinking absolutely no less will be the case when Reach hits the street. :P

For me I like Battlefield Bad Comapany, COD is ok when I'm in the moment :P

I agree, I just recently got back into Halo 3s multiplayer and it is super fun.

Thats the only good part of halo to me. THe sp is boring as hell. Its a fun arcady shooter online. When I had live I put some time into it. I enjoy other FPS's more then halo,but halo is still ok.

Best? No. Fun? yes. personally, i found TF2 better than Halo. Halo is fun though

Yeh it is one of the bestbut there are better shooters like Killzone 2 and CoD.

I agree, TC. The multiplayer is still a blast, and there's no other shooter on a console that delivers as much content as Halo 3. Forge alone is a great accomplishment. Not to mention Bungie's excellent community support.

Though I still like the SP, myself.

Probably the best FPS on consoles I've played this gen. But I know others will disagree.

I still think it is one of the top online games on consoles to date, mainly because of how Bungie support their community.

And what is this tendency people have to assume that if someone else dislikes a game you like, they must suck at it/not get it. That's rediculous. The game just reeked of bad game design. It had shiny explosions and unbalanced/gimmicky perks so the crowds flocked it it.

Even before the game came out, I knew it was going to be the CoD 2 with "modern" paint. And I was right. I'm not joining a bandwagon by disliking CoD 4. I invented that bandwagon. I've played the hell out of it and I sure as hell don't suck.

I'm pretty certain that I'm better at CoD games than I am in Halo but My prefernce is still Halo. It's really hard to suck at CoD imo. Especially someone who's used to playing shooters. I don't see how you can suck at that game.
