Halo 3 2007 GOTY ? Joke of the century.....

After I watched Halo 3 video I`m totally shocked...Is this what Lemmings waited and hyped for past 2 years???? 95% same like Halo 2 ( which it sucks )..If this games win just because good online multiplayer and overhype all I can say there is something wrong with western game industry..I know it still in alpha stage but this game don`t even deserve to kick Sony & Nintendo out of the game industry. After Halo 3 & Halo Wars what`s next lemmings? Halo Novel? Halo sims? Halo fighting games? Halo racing? Halo kitchen? Halo cartoon? Halo kitchen? An evening with Halo? Halo talk show? Blablablabla.....Heri012

I'm no halo fan but sony has MGS, and nintendo has mario (which has been around for like 20 years now or so), so don't think halo is overused or something.

With that being said, i think halo 3 is like halo 2 with pumped up graphics (though i don't really like the way halo 3 looks) and will get high AA to mid/high AAA maybe cuz of its multiplayer. I think the single player will be crap as always.

Halo isnt sonic... i think the standard has become so high for fps now halo is gonna need to pull out something really special to wow its audience. as for what will they do? either do something completly new or they may do something else from the halo universe  

GTAIV is going to get GOTY, but it's not so ridiculous for anyone to claim Halo 3 will get GOTY since the series is great.the-very-best

I hope it does, cuz after hearing that GTAIV will be smaller that SA and has no planes (lets atleast hope for helicopters) i'm begining to get a little frustrated..

Didn't you feel SA had way too much country side? With GTAIV they're making it slightly smaller than SA in map size but much more dense in detail, ie, not much country.

As for the no planes...well I'm a little disappointed about that too but I'm sure they'll make up for it with some new additions.

Why do people even try to speculate? There's far to many HUGE contendors to say for sure this early on that there's no point in even trying.

What an appalling thread. :| I love how every single person to thus far bash Halo 3 has had absolutely no idea where it's at in it's development.

Honestly, GOTY is completely up in the air at the moment. Big franchises don't have advantages either. Halo has never won a GOTY, GTA hasn't won one since 2001, in fact I think the only series to have won more than 1 GOTY award is Warcraft.

This means it's pretty much anyone's game this year, you can't base it on brandname.

Halo is to be judged on release and after Halo CE and Halo 2 I think both have been fine games (notably Halo CE) to give the developers the benefit of the doubt.

Look how great killzone 2 looks, lol. Can't wait for that disappointment. least Bungie show real shots and explain what stage it is at.

Not for me. It'll probably sit in my backlog of "to be played" for a good bit of time between Crysis, Spore and especially Unreal Tournament 3. Plus there's a ton of great upcoming titles between now and November that'll keep me plenty busy.

You cannot decide a game is like its preducessor from 5 minutes of gameplay.

if u look properly you'll see its alpha build and what you saw was filmed months before and halo3 is the end of the halo story so there plenty things you can for the francise

Halo 3 will not get GOTY and ill tell u why, because there are too many good games out there that have a shot at it, because halo is only known for good multiplayer and co-op, and that is not gonna win GOTY for u. The game just has to be all around great, and yes GEOW was kind of lucky, because there werent any next gen competition to even stand up against geow, but games like okami and another game were the only games in geow's way and none of them were next gen. So of course geow was going to win GOTY. Anyways if MGS4 comes out this year, look for that game to have the best chance at GOTY and even god of war 2 will prolly be even in that catagory, because yes the game was that good, and it was better then most of the next gen games I have played so far, just wish there was online to the game or something but action games dont really go good online unless its a rank system like ninja gaiden had. Well who knows, because bungie might just comeback with vengeance in this halo game so yeah I guess to be fair, halo 3 will be up there aswell, but then again GTA is there and wow, I cant call it no more, lol. Its up for grabs.
