Half Life 2 wasn;t GOTY. WOW was in 04. HL2 was FPS of the year though.

I am going to say that a lot of sequels that got goty last gen, completely revamped their genre, or took their series in a different direction.

GTA for example allowed a freedom, never experienced in a video-game before. RE4 redefined the RE series with an 'over the shoulder' view, being able to buy guns and upgrades, and the feel that you were in a horrific world and the need to survive. Wind Waker was a fresh Zelda experience, had a beautiful art-style, simple controls and a mammoth of a story.

CAN YOU SAY THE PRE-ALPHA MEANING INCOMlPETE (Caps) come on really it isn't finished yet

Yeah, graphics makes the gameplay. Let's just hope bungie focus on the gameplay instead, afew weapons here and there; won't enhanced gameplay.

After I watched Halo 3 video I`m totally shocked...Is this what Lemmings waited and hyped for past 2 years???? 95% same like Halo 2 ( which it sucks )..If this games win just because good online multiplayer and overhype all I can say there is something wrong with western game industry..I know it still in alpha stage but this game don`t even deserve to kick Sony & Nintendo out of the game industry. After Halo 3 & Halo Wars what`s next lemmings? Halo Novel? Halo sims? Halo fighting games? Halo racing? Halo kitchen? Halo cartoon? Halo kitchen? An evening with Halo? Halo talk show? Blablablabla.....Heri012
