Halo 3 Alpha graphics confirmed for Beta.

*Beta is only three weeks because they're primarily doing data gathering on matchmaking and such.

*Beta should be "more than a satisfying sampling" of MP.

*New stuff like Equipment is in (the X button). New social items and features that help with friends sticking together included in the Beta.

*Voice muting should be in the Beta, not full set of features.

*Very unlikely to see live changes to the game, just checking "hardwired code" for specific data mining. Not everything will be perfect, but it's a "lovely, clean experience".

*Not going to see finished graphics

*Hints that campaign is further along than the MP we'll see in the Beta.

*Maps chosen for different reasons. Only data-driven decision on map selections was Valhalla to have a big map in the mix. "A true ****c."

*There will be one or two little things saved as a surprises for the Beta. Nothing on the level of new weapons/vehicles.

*Beta will include Slayer for certain, and objective-based games.

*Frankie will be a guest columnist at OXM soon

I agree the beta is more about testing out the gameplay so I see no need for them to improve the visuals just to test out gameplay. Shadowrun looks terrible in its beta, but it will look a lot better once the game is released.

The beta will look significantly better than the alpha stages and the videos shown which are many months old, but it will not look as good as the final game

Um no it will be Beta graphics, Alpha graphics isnt a type of graphics its a state of which the game is in, and when the beta is released it will be in its beta state of visuals.

Yeah It does look like a date but if you compair it to the other vidoc then you will see that it isnt.

Yeah It does look like a date but if you compair it to the other vidoc then you will see that it isnt.

Yeah I think the graphics will look fine, the graphics already look great in some places but yeah it does need a bit of polish here and there.

Doubt it. The Sony fanboys will find some obscure site that gives Halo 3 a bad rating and harp on it over and over. They're going to absolutely flood system wars with complaints about the Halo 3 Beta graphics, and in the end, even it gets a great score, they'll call it overrated and make a dozen posts about "GS bias".

At the end of the day, the Sony fanboys are anti-gaming, they want this game to suck. They don't root for another great game for the gaming community to enjoy, but rather hope that the flagship of "the enemy" goes down in flames.

Frankly, if the game scores anything less than a 9.0 were never going to hear the end of it.
