No, PC gamers magazine is really good, but I don't know about console magazines

I have to be honest I switched from games master to other magazines a long time ago, simply because they were clearly appealing to a very young crowd and were obsessed with wrestiling.

But honestly this game only went Gold yesterday, so they are clearly rushing this review out of the gate. especially since online wont really be completly up yet.

Nah, Gamespot's reviews have gone to the gutter. They're not better than everyone else just because they give scores completely randomly now.

Any review from a UK mag is alot more reliable than a Yank website by far. Although there is one UK mag (forgot the name) that YOU must stay clear of (It gave Fifa a higher ranking than PES..............)PacmanChampion

Probably play UK. I've been out of the magazine circle for a while, but I did usually invest in most multi platform magazines likes Gamestm and Edge, but play just sat their with horrible covers and gisgusting hyping of games.

The only, only we can think of is that, while it looks great it doesn't look amazing. Which is a stupid thing to criticise really.You wouldn't refuse Scarlett Johansson a snog because she had a bit of spinach stuck in her teeth would you? Of course not, so we'll just get over it.

Why would a review from a UK mag be a lot more reliable than a U.S. one?

GameSpot's take on it will be something like......

"Metroid Prime 3 : Feels to similiar to the older games, etc = 8.5"

"Halo 3 : Retains all the aspects of the original game, etc = 9.7"

I hope I'm wrong, but for some reason, I see this happening

I hope that doesn't happen, but you may be right. That's like the new thing on GS: its a negative if a sequel is like the original. It will be interesting if Halo 3 gets stuck with the same negative.

Perhaps I'm being a bit to cynical, but it seems as tho GameSpot has some sort of double standard. Now whether they're aware of it or not, I wouldn't know.

The problem wiith doing a review of halo is that the English language doesn't have enough words to describe its awesomeness, so we are left with only a few words which speak much louder than any paragraph could.

Analogy: There was a Colonel in the Air Force and on his performance review the General wrote on it..."He's one of us". Nothing else was on the form nothing about his job performance or anything other than his personal info (name, rank, SSN). Guess what? He made general.

Halo is just so awesome words can't describe it. So we could be stuttering over ourselves trying to say how great it is, but instead, we'll just say "Perfect"

Gamesmaster to me are actually biased, this isn't a joke( Wait a second I remember Gamesmaster the magazine having a 100 percent rating system not 5/5 anyway) these guys are quoted for saying this about Gears of war "The best game ever created".

Anyway this proves nothing, the first review of Prime 3 was 10/10 and guess what happened on Gamespot?.
