Every weapon has its weakness, if you good enough and smart enough you find that weakness and that is how conquer man standing infront of you with the rocket or shotgun.

Use your ingenuity and actual tactics and that is how you win.

And i cant say in COD you use tactics to win?

I hate Halo... but i liked a zombie? mode on Halo 3 :) very fun.

But i havent played it in 29 days since i got it... got boring fast.

Maybe, but it doesnt do it as well, the balance between weapons, skill, and maps is no as present as in Halo 3.

For some odd reason the Shoot-Move-Communacate concept is more present in Halo 3 then any other game, the vehicles are there, the weapons are there, the balnce is there, its up to you to make that formula work in your favor, you dont really ever play the same way twice.

I cant speak for COD 4 that much, since I only seen the multiplayer once, and that was yesterday.

I find it funny that we compare everything to Halo, but not CoD to everything else.

COD4's levelling and perk system is a double-edged sword. It's great right now since people are relatively on an even playing field since the game just came out. Down the road though, it will be very noob/casual unfriendly. Heck, when I finally pick it up, there will probably a bunch of gold guns running around. I'll slog through my my first levels, but it won't be fun.

Halo, on the other hand, everyone stays on the same level playing field. The only benefits of leveling are cosmetic. Rainbow Six Vegas, another popular Xbox Live game does the same thing.

So COD4 will enjoy its honeymoon period like any other big game will when they first release. But down the line, the seemingly great multiplayer mechanics will force it to cater mostly to the hardcore.

In that way, Halo 3 is better than COD4.

I have to agree. The graphics are dissapointing and the single player campaign is decent. Heck, COD 2 made more of an impact in terms of both graphics and campaign when it was released in 2005. Played an hour of multiplayer and I'm not excited. I'm renting the game so lets see how it goes after 8 hours of multiplayer.

from a technical stand point thats not true....but regardless (and im just basing this off of what people have already said) COD4 has a better atmosphere....or atleast a more immersive one

The funny thing about that statement is that Call of Duty is very simliar to Halo, albiet slightly more realistic. And the worst part is some of the cues it takes from Halo don't make sense in a CoD style game (re-bounding health anyone?). You're entitled to your opinion on which is better, but that doesn't mean people that believe the opposite are wrong.

But I still think Halo's gameplay is almost perfect.
