Nah its not flamebait, I just guess Im sick of everyone hating on the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely give Halo credit for the use of color, as opposed to the many varieties of gray in most FPS.
And yes, it has a story, but it pretty much rips off every sci-fi story before it. Deducting points for lack of originality.

You know Halos story do you? You've read all of the books?
Don't lie lemmings

Halo 2.5?:?
My thread OBLITERATING that claim. (click on "OBLITERATING" for clicking ownage)
And that's just the new, leaked stuff, not the stuff we already knew.
Could say the same for Half-Life, Starcraft, etc....And yes, it has a story, but it pretty much rips off every sci-fi story before it. Deducting points for lack of originality.

Right...... Just like Killzone was sooooo going to Kill Halo CE and Halo 2. Just because Killzone 2 has nice graphics doesn't mean it's game play or story will be on par. Karl_123210
Killzone 1 actually had a pretty good story, it was just really buggy and needed some tweeking. Just like the review said with a few more coats of polish killzone could have been a whole lot better.

 Not even remotely close. Hypothesis and breakdown on your part? Your known to be of the anti-Halo persuasion so I'm not inclined to simply take your word.War is colorful and vibrant? Maybe between action figures. I dunno but when I see that highly detailed bright purple gun, it seems kinda ridiculous.Mil-m5
It would seem ridiculus today, yes.
The human equipment in Halo is the same military colors you'll find in any other FPS isn't it?

No, you really couldn't.
Half Life - The first FPS to be told entirely through the First Person perspective, thus the first FPS to have elements without weapons and such. The immersion of the story is unique in it's own right.
Starcraft - One of the first RTS to prove that an amazing story can be told in the genre. I mean sure, Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert did have good stories, but Starcraft took this to the next step. And the amount of different armies and backstabs makes Starcraft unique as well.
Halo - Rips ever sci-fi story before it.

Oh I am sure it dose, I was just responding to the overzellous fanboy post. I hope that Killzone 2 is an awesome game for the PS owners just I can't stand the irrational fanboys.

You obviously have a good grasp of all of Half-Life and Starcrafts stories.
You also have slim-->none grasp of the Halo story.
Seeing this, I will excuse your misrepresentation.

:|I guess if you tried you could be more of a fanboy, it'd be a stretch though...
Are you going to answer my question or not?
Halo 3 looks like it is playing the right cards, but it doesn't look like it has that "go nuts" factor that Perfeck Dark (original), TimeSplitters Series, and... even Crysis (in regards to how it looks at its current state) have. I have decided that that "go nuts" factor (aka the brick tossing in TS and the n-bomb fests in PD) is what I want out of my FPS. This is why the Halo series just seems to lack depth to me. organic_machineYou should look up info on Halo Forge.
Halo Forge = go nuts.

Has anyone seen the episode of South Park where Butters is thinking of ways to destroy the World as Professor Chaos, but every plan was already thought of by the Simpsons? Every thing steals bits and pieces from others. Just the way of life.
Anyways I love the Halo story and can't wait t see how it ends.

Lol. Well thanks for the comment, and yes I probably don't know much about the Halo story, but from what I've seen, heard, and played over my System Wars experience and friends playing, the story simply isn't up to par with Half-Life and Starcraft, and saying they can be compared in the same way doesn't make sense.

I certainly hope Halo 3 has it's version of that. While a map editor goes a long way, it won't make up for the loss of that factor. halo series just isn't designed for it. The series as a whole is sort of a spacy run and gun with well implimented team features as opposed to the sheer do-everything-your-mind-wants type of FPS

i agree to your 2nd point, but i disagree with your first...killzone 2 and gears of war are both coming out after halo series...which woulld mean you should have given credit to killzone and gears of war for the use of the greyish colour schemes.
You just kind of owned yourself. What you've seen is apparently hearing about it from friends and hearing about it on system wars. That rounds down to nothing.Lol.
