It's almost comical how after so many years: -Cows are still hyping the next FPS game to "kill" Halo (hasn't happened) -Hermits are still trying to discredit the good things Halo has for it while simultaneously trying to "prove" how spending a lot more money for a different type of gameplay is better (it isn't working) -Sheep really have nothing to look forward to but MP3 in the FPS realm so they vainly try to prop up MP3 as a "halo killer" (it isn't and it isn't better when you comapre the Prime series to the Halo series - the 2d scrollers are a different story) The other funny thing is that this Fall/Winter their are a ton of great shooters to all platforms (minus the Wii) that will be great in their own right, yet those fanboys who just can't give credit where credit is due will spend their time bashing an "inferior" game. While you guys try to convince the world of the so-called better FPS's, the rest of us (the world) will be stomping snot boxes on Halo 3. I guess it's success and greatness is what pisses you off the most, no?

I have played Halo numerous times at my friends house and I used to own Halo 2. They're just like any other console shooter where you kill aliens only the most of the weapons are really lame. There is no way it can match what a PC game offers.

i am sorry but i enjoy counterstrike source/battlefield2/battlefield 2142 miles better than the halo multiplayer. Halo single player was good when it first came out but is just "meh" now.
From what i have seen of halo 3 its just more of the same but in HD with a few more details.
But if you like it enjoy it i guess.
Crysis looks miles better by the way in terms of everything.

But there is no way in hell any FPS comes close to Pawning CRYSIS. Its not all pretty graphics, the gameplay and animation is extremely deep, it will pawn Halo (not in sales) but as an overall game. So dont even go there lemming.
Crysis WILL own, thats for sure. And ofcourse its going to be a better game than Halo 3, but Halo's got so much hype to its name. Halo 3 IS going to be a good game, The best on the 360 no doubt, and we can't take that away from it. But Crysis is in another league.

A so-so developer. Far Cry is an AAA game. Also everyone said TP would be AAA because of all the previous games. Look what happened. Also MP series are AAA, so whats stopping MP3 getting an AAA rating and being better than Halo.

well it comes down to opinion here but im not on the TCs boat. im more interested in MP3 and crysis than i am halo. MP1 and 2 are 2 of my fav games and crysis looks really really kewl (killing ppl with a chicken FTW!!! :P). im certainly looking foreward to H3 but its not on the top of my list. the single player also better be a big improvement on the crap SP of H2. i was really dissapointed with that...multiplayer seemed to be the main focus of the game. if a review gives it a 9 but says SP is like H2 then i wont bother. i dont use xbox live gold (i have a PC which does a better job) so H3 multiplayer is a non factor for me.
halo is going to become the cyber vacuum, sucking up all the cheaters, glitchers and winy little kids so i can play my cod 4 in peace thank you halo 3.

MP's single player alone owns Halo.
MP has always been better than Halo in terms of single player. Also since I'm a PC Gamer mostly, Halo's multiplayer doesn't impress me that much. Both MP3 and Halo 3 seem to be refinements of the seriers which is why they are equal.

Bungie is going to make Halo 3's single player the best Halo game yet. So don't expect Halo 2 type single player this time around.We shall see in two months. ;)
