Actually, last time I checked VGChartz, SSBB is not only really close if not passing up Halo right now so I think SSBB will make it before Halo. That's good because I think it's one of the best games this gen so far. I usually play it with my friends a lot (either that or L4D).

Halo 3 is quality beyond what you can understand, the physics alone blow any game out of the water not to mention the gameplay and the matchmaking is so fast and fluid

While it's not the best game ever or anything, I do think Halo 3 is one of the bar-none most standout games of this gen. It's a credit to its longevity and appeal to an audience that actually plays games for simple fun that it's almost to the 10 million mark. Though, let's face it - if something like Wii Sports actually was selling rather than being bundled with the Wii, it'd most likely be ahead of Halo 3.

You can talk hypotheticals all you want, but from the way this gen is going, it's pretty obvious which game would be bought by the most people. Besides, if you're talking real world, Wii-sports sold 4x as many copies as Halo 3 and you're using a technicality to claim some sort of ownage. Halo 3 is one of the true standouts of this gen, as I've said, but it's not the sales king, nor would it be even if things were different for how Wiisports was sold.

I'm not a Cow. What's more, I'm most frequently called a Lemming as the 360 is my admitted first console this gen, and far and away the best console for gamers this gen. Mentioning the fact that Halo 3 isn't the top seller this gen doesn't make you a Cow and doesn't mean you're hiding behind anything. And I'll say it again... Halo 3 is one of the true standout games of this gen, despite all the hate it receives... But it ain't the top seller.

Ever think of checking your connection? I got into Halo 2 matches on a 1 minute or less almost exclusively. Great for you, doesn't help me much though does it.
