[QUOTE="Episode_Eve"]Wowo. Halo is just 2 months away and Killzone won't be released until Spring next year at the earliest. KZ2 is still in pre-alpha stages. We know nothing about the games other enviornments or if it will have improved textures. If it does, then no console shooter is safe.
KZ looks so good in motion it makes no sense.

It doesnt matter that KZ2 is pre-alpha, fanboys will side with there precious "halo"
Funny, back when Halo 3 was pre-alpha that excuse was laughed at.
heres the problem with kz2... and with resistence... and with the original killzone: none of them have color. they all have a very drab feeling to them.
kz2 has 2 colors; orange and gray.
resistence had yellow
killzone had no color either
they all needed to inject some color in their games, or they will share the same fate.
killzone has better charcter models Halo has better textures overall i'll give killzone the slight nod in the graphics depatment for the sheer amount of crap thats happening at onceAcidRonen
Right now, they are of different art styles and cannot be compared but both look equally impressive.
I will hold judgement until I see a more finalized Killzone 2 screenshot (with the entire HUD, such as the health bars and cross-hair).
no ur not. as a matter of fact when the first screenshot was released, and i'm not making this up, within 4 hours of its release, many cows on the ps3 forums (not gs', but sony's) had sworn that the screen shot was just a poster of kz1 on a brick wall that the player was staring at.not trying to start a war here but whats up with the texture in killzone? everything looks like it went through a badly unfocused lens
i know i'm not the only 1 who noticed this

absolute truth.
i like the way only one shot of halo 3 is actually a firstperson (someone actually playing) pic and it looks the worst of the lot.jt8b2z
You can change the camera to 3rd person in single player so i dont know why it should make a difference.
Animations look nice, but graphics still lack, it's the little details, for example the weapon doesn't look as sharp or detailed like in Halo 3. In the end it's subjective and up to personal preferences I suppose.themyth01
look at every crevice of the weapons in Killzone they are hell of alot more detailed than in halo. Every bit of it is detailed.
I believe the bluriness of the detail on the KZ2 gun is due to Depth of field. I think thats what I read in the IGN coverage. But I'm not sure. I like the art style of KZ2, but there will be color as they stated they are introducing a new planet altogether, with new environments. Halo 3 looks good too though. Guess we're just going to have to wait for KZ2 until 2008.WongBthey do use a depth of field focus like cod 3 did, but what ur seeing in those shots is their heavy lens filter that makes everything grainy.
halo is full of bright crisp colors, how can you take a purple and green enemy seriously?
Killzone 2 is a dark shooting game that makes every bad guy look pissed off, and goes in a whole differant direction then halo. killzone looks fantastic in every way, and i can not wait to get my hands on it and i cant say the same for halo idk why.
