Halo 3 vs. Metroid Prime 3 (Poll)

I'm 100% Halo 3 will score 9.5, while Metroid Prime 3 will score 8.5 because gamespot is anti-wii, but if Prime 3 is really better than echoes then it will score 9.0.

A real shooter experience is a subjective thing. I find focusing on online deathmatches to be shallow, but a robustadventure is the real "experience" for me.

I agree, I did the frag fest thing over a decade ago and have come to prefer the story/adventure route.

why try to reinvent yourself by throwing in gimmick wiggly joystick?

because you lack the technical advances like the other consoles?

What about the gameplay? It didn't seem to change much.But fine if you going that way, then MP3 has a new control layout which seem it going to be better MP1 and 2, has more voice acting, and better graphics.

Yeah it seem that MP3 is more intense then the previous ones.

sorry but everybody likes halo for its incredible multiplayer, I'm a hardcore halo fan but I have to say that without its multiplayer it would be as gears of war, a great game but still an average game

From playing the beta. Halo 3 plays nothing like Halo 2. Its got a mix of 1 with a bit of a twist. For one the autoaim is toned down a ton(big complaint for hardcore shooter fans), the equipment has added a new strategy, bringing back the assualt rifle has made the game much more balanced, the maps are more dynamic in nature. and thats just beta. We still havent seen the extra vehicles, extra maps, and the fun factor of forge at work.

Through in a single player that has been worked on to death. Id say Halo 3 has made enough changes as well as Metroid Prime 3 to warrent instant AAA scores IMO. which i believe both will get.Sir-Marwin105

I dunno, I wouldn't call myself a niche gamer. I play really healthy variety of games. There's a ton of Wii owners out there and they're probably starving for a great game right about now.

I own both Halo 1 and 2 both I have always thought that MP was better. So I am looking forward to MP3 a lot more than Halo.

I didn't really play the first Metroid game, and still don't particularly like it (having come from Super Metroid, it just seems like a crapped on version), although without it, there'd be no others. However, having completed the rest of the Metroid series (including the Return of Samus, which was a fairly grueling ordeal), I can tell you that the Metroid series is one of the finest in the business, and one of the very few to maintain the high level of quality it started out with. Everyone hails Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as one of the greatest 2D games ever, and yet half of what makes it so great, it took from Super Metroid. Clearly there's something very appealing about the Metroid series, and even if non-Wii owners can't understand the appeal (or are jealous, or just don't care), Metroid should at least be acknowledged as a major player this fall.
