Halo has the best gameplay for an FPS. Explain why Halo and Halo 2 sold so many copies? BECAUSE THEY WERE VERY FUN!!
Oh. And the multiplayer. It will KILL all CONSOLE FPS multiplayer experiences. No other game has come close to touching Halo's multiplayer.

Ask yourselves cows, do you think Killzone 2 will have as good of a campaign as Halo? How about a multiplayer experience? COD4? How about Unreal Tournament? (Multiplayer maybe) Only Crysis stands in its way (cuz of its graphics, pfft)
