Call of Duty 4 got more Game of the Year nods total than any game. I'm not saying Gamespot, as they were crazy to give it to Mario Galaxy.

And since you MUST be right, I guess they are getting ahead of themselves releasing the Call of Duty 4 Game of the Year edition. Go crawl back in your hole.

Halo has vechiles

Halo has forge

Halo has theatre

Halo has a better matchingmaking system

CoD only has a good rpg typish ranking system

Single Player

Both of them have mediocre single players at best

Anyway, I agree, Halo 3 is overrated. I'm playing it right now, it's taking FOREVER to get a game started.

I don't want to upset any Half life 2 fans but I did play through the Orange box and didn't think it was all that :( I finished both Half life 2, Episode 1, Portal, and while they were failry enjoyable, I couldn't help but feel they were not as good as I thought they were going to be, pretty standard imo. I stopped about a hour into Episode 2 as I lost the will to carry on, and that was that...

Not bad games, but not great either.

i dont care how many awards it won CoD 4 is praised more than any other CoD game and it's the same thing as the other games just in a Modern setting, I cant believe im saying this but atleast Halo brought a couple new things to the series

First off, looking at ratings from a review site is grasping at straws and really is a poor way of judging games. Anybody who tries to use ratings to justify their message is probably hiding something and, clearly, this is the case.

Halo 3 does nothing new, it's not even remotely innovative. What aspect of Halo hasn't been done before?

It's also widely accepted that shooters are superior on PC, it's pathetic to argue otherwise and you'll find yourself in the extreme minority.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but those who think Halo3 > Half-Life 2 are in the minority, as any poll would show.

The things that dragged down Half life 2 for me were the never ending dull driving sections, the AI of your allies, dumb as ****, didn't really like any of the characters to be honest, and episode 1 felt rushed and wasn't that much fun (mostly dark corridors) But I really liked the physics, guns were fun to shoot, that robot dog was cool, fighting the choppers and walkers was cool, Ravenhorn was very atmospheric. Portal was just ok for me, nice idea, but not that fun. I see little use for a portal gun in real games, to over powered. Not a fan of team based shooters so passed on TF2,

Hermits pretend they have the best FPSs, but they don't. The only notable shooters they even have left is STALKER (Stupid) and Crysis (Overrated).

yeah halo 3 has better single player (at least for me) but when it comes to multiplayer, TF2 is one of the greatest mp game ever and halo 3's mp doesnt even come close to TF2, but it looks like ur comparing only HL2 to Halo 3 so ummm change The Overrated Box to Overrated Life 2 :P

HL is a FPS with an awesome story while Halo is a FPS where you're considered hardcore if you remember the main character is not called "Halo"

crysis would still owns all consoe fps with farcry graphics. yes the graphics are nice but the gameplay is 75% of what makes the game so much fun, open level design owns liner levels 100x over

Well, I beat HL2 and both episodes. I was left with a huge craving for more action and less puzzles and story elements. HL has a great story and puzzles, don't get me wrong, but I was kinda bored while playing it most of the time. I love just playing Halo online with all my buds.
