Why have tough A.I when in Halo 2 it's practically impossible to die? Defeats of object of having A.I at all. In Halo 2, I never found any scenario's where the enemies acted remotely human, so I beg to differ.gingerdivid
That's good. Because they weren't human. And did you play Halo 2 on legendary? I promise you- there were many ways to die.

[QUOTE="gingerdivid"]Plus improved A.I is hardly saying anything, considering how poor it was in it's two prequels.gingerdivid

Wait.....what???

To be outclassed by 1998's Half-Life pretty much speaks for itself, "bu buh but they run away when they take damage " I fail to see how brutes with armour is a legitimate upgrade, co-op is online not SP (how foolish to think otherwise), graphics should surely be compulsory :? ....

This just comes off as a desperate attempt to promote an extremely tedious campaign.

Yes, Half Life had amazing AI. It doesn't mean Halo doesn't. And there's a fair bit mroe than running away going on. In Halo 2 I found myself bineg pinned by 2 elites, being flanked by a group of grunts and being forced into a tight alleyway before hearing the elite order the grunts to storm me. Hardly poor......

It's called Legendary....or to a certain extent heroic :)

A.I aims to simulate real people, so in that sense Halo 2's A.I is a failure on all levels. I played Halo 2 on legendary and yet actually having played over FPS games other than Halo, I was able to complete it with ease.

Nobody with a corpus callosum between the halves of their brain believes a word of that.

I know. Even if you managed to get through the other enemies, you would need magical capabilities to spot all the jackals and take them out at a speed so fast that they wouldnt have the time to pull off a shot, especialy with a controller... let alone getting hit by a plasma gernade wich at some point is almost inevitable and it's certain death.

But it isn't. You're not making any sense. :?

Halo was always praised for it's AI. It's impressive the way they actually FIGHT rather than just get shot/shoot back. The way the grunts will charge at you in the presence of an Elite, but take down the high-ranker and they break and run.

You cant just rewrite history and say "oh but halo had crap AI..."

It didn't. :|

And what straws might those be?

Well they did choose online coop as one of the best "Single Player Improvements".

Maybe he should have said Story Mode Improvements.

[QUOTE="emawk"]I'm not a Halo fan, but were you always able to fly banshees in Halo 1 and 2?elite_ferns1
ya you could

You couldnt fly Banshee's in Halo 1's multiplayer though. They added that in Halo 2. Halo 1 only had them available in short segments throughout the single player campaign.

Probably should have, still I understand what this means.

Half Life? Better AI than Halo? They can't even go through a door properly.

I'm guessing he beat it on Normal once and took a guess that Legendary wasn't THAT hard and clamed to have beat it with ease. I can understand not enjoying it much on Normal mode, and not wanting to play again, but Legendary is more fun. Still, the multiplayer was where Halo2 was at.
