I'll probably buy Killzone 3 anyway if I can get it cheap to play the single player but I guess I can download the MP to try it out.
It's not actually free, or at least I don't think it is anymore. The MP was free for people until level 10 or so, after that you had to purchase the MP portion of the game if you wanted it (which is like $10 or so I think). The SP is fun but it's not amazing or anything, but I personally like to own my full games, not a portion, which is one of the many reasons why I don't play on 360 much (XBL and all that).
But you should give it a try, you'll love it, trust me. Sony made a good move with that demo by giving more people a chance to play it's most addictive substance, KZ3 MP. Now these people are fans of the series and will pick up KZ4.

6 months ago: The Halo series is great, I gave Reach a 9 derp. It's one of the best games around.
4 months ago: It's pretty good, but not as great as Killzone or CoD.
2 months ago: Halo games have terrible SPs, they're tacked on. More features =/= better game... But I can say that because I gave Reach a 9 herp.
1 month ago: Seriously, Halo is alright, but Killzone is MUCH better.

There is a lot riding on this game, and while the preview material has me optimistic, I'm not sure the dedicated fanbase will be as accepting as you or I. Plus, this is 343i's first full retail release based solely on their own ideas. Then again, they do have heritage with Bungie and an exceptionally well-established community system, so it is more likely that it will turn out positively. I just can't wait to get my hands on it. To be there first day for a Halo game? My self seven years ago would be pissing himself laughing.

Halo Reach was garbage, the E3 booth for Halo 4 had framerate issues and looked like garbage and did not feel like halo. There are no facts as to which is better, its opinion, face it. The fact that you said Halo 4 will be better without playing it proves your fanboyism. I prefer Killzone over any Halo game post 3. Halo Reach was garbage because of armor abilities and awful map design in my opinion, the E3 booth for Halo 4 had framerate issues and looked like low res and blurry and did not feel like halo. The insta kill weapons were there in much higher quantity then normal maps. There are no facts as to which is better, its opinion, face it. Facts are indisputable, reviews are opinions. Halo doesn't have the strongest story out there, but its still a heck of a lot better than Killzones. It may not have the uber graphics, but it makes up for that with vast areas with tons of features and a soundtrack that destorys anything in Killzone.
Then you can add the theatre mode, the on-line co-op, the skulls etc. which Halo has and killzone doesn't, and it just shlts all over killzone really. And thats without even mentioning competitive multiplayer, in which its no competition really.

Halo was 10, Halo 2 was 13, Halo 3 was 9, Halo 3: ODST was 8 within the open world of Mombasa, Halo: Reach was 8, Halo 4 is 8. So, what exactly is the issue here? The only game with a really higher amount of levels than usual was Halo 2. Everything else has been 8 to 10 levels.

I realise its an opinion, but when the vast majority of the gaming press agrees with that opinion, theres more weight to it than someone who says killzone is better just because they like it.
If we're talking purely facts, such as say content, Halo wins in that anyway. Killzone comes with single player and multiplayer. Theres no online co-op, no forge, no firefight/spec ops, no theatre mode which have all become standard in Halo and its community (including community features on the website) pales in comparison to Halo which now has Halo Waypoint.

You can't say killzone is the better game than Halo in every way and then go on about your personal taste. If you prefer Killzone, thats fine. I prefer Halo. By far. Reason i bring up metacritic scores is because the game critic community agrees with me that Halo is of higher quality than Killzone, and I think their collective opinion holds more weight that mine or yours, for arguments sake. So just deal with it.
And while Halo 4 may be taking some influence from COD, lets not forget the amount of stuff CoD4 copied from Halo 3. Thats just whats going to happen between the 2 biggest shooters on the market. The difference here is, that unlike Killzone 3 (which actually altered its gameplay feel to be more like COD, hence its failure) Halo with still play like Halo.

I'd say the fact im playing Halo constantly is more than enough justification ;) Halo wins in every way possible way except graphics. So i guess if you want eyecandy go play borezone :lol: But if you want gameplay and features then go for Halo.

Halo doesn't have the strongest story out there, but its still a heck of a lot better than Killzones. It may not have the uber graphics, but it makes up for that with vast areas with tons of features and a soundtrack that destorys anything in Killzone.
Then you can add the theatre mode, the on-line co-op, the skulls etc. which Halo has and killzone doesn't, and it just shlts all over killzone really. And thats without even mentioning competitive multiplayer, in which its no competition really.

I've never seen anybody justifying their purchase that hard! When Halo clearly looks blank and dull, then you just say 'bu bu bu but Killzone has boring story, ermm erm Halo also has more features!' :lol: It's not valid, you can't say that. Halo is clearly an inferior shooter. Why is Halo so blank? Isn't your console powerful enough to render more objects?

And :lol: at you saying Halo's added features "aren't valid". You can't just disregard Halo's extra features because they don't suit your argument.

Reason i bring up metacritic scores is because the game critic community agrees with me that Halo is of higher quality than Killzone, and I think their collective opinion holds more weight that mine or yours, for arguments sake. So just deal with it.RR360DDEhhhhhh.... not really. Critic scores do not represent quality, they represent enjoyment, even if the critic says it doesn't. What you are doing is appealing to their authority, which is really quite sad, because your opinion is as valuable as their's, they just get paid to express it. And aggregating these opinions is even worse, as it devalues each critics points and reasoning into a score that really stands for nothing. Equating this as "proof" of the better game is a really, really weak argument. Not saying SM's is any better, but if you really want to sell it, don't resort to flawed arguments. Halo has a plethora more content than the Killzone games, significantly more involved developer support and communication infrastructure, a more well-organized match-making service and a greater variety in terms of both SP and MP type levels (with vehicles). These are strong arguments that help show Halo is the superior series, without appealing to authority or popularity.
