Halo 4 'going back to what made Halo 1 amazing'

Hopefully they won't be bringing back the horrible level design from Halo 1.

The level design from Halo 1 still stands out as some of the best ever, imo. The Library and the opening level were really the only parts of the entire game that weren't fantastic.

Yeah, i agree. Halo CE is still pretty popular in MP on the PC, i myself love it. But the SP is horrific.. it is a long, tedious slog through endlessly repeating environments which were copy pasted architecture. I honestly don't comprehend why people would enjoy such a boring and cringe worthy SP experience, even though enjoyment is subjective, i assumed that usually people dislike boring experiences in games.

Halo 2, on the other hand.. is vastly superior, with a far better level design, and its underrated by the people that always praise Halo CE. I really like Halo 2's SP.

Wasn't anybody gaming back in 2001? Halo:CE Single Player was considered Legendary for it's time. Halo 2....ugh don't get me started.

I've given every Halo game in order of release scores of 10, 10, 10, 7.5, 9.0 and 10. And in 2001, 2004 and 2007 I chose a Halo game as my personal GotY. I like it. I don't see why you need to know that? I mean, I'm clearly disagreeing with you so my opinion on the matter should be very evident to you.

Wowzers, You give the game high scores but then dont have a opinion worth sharing to others, I dont see why you would need to post towards me if saying such a comment if you wasnt going to show us why it deserved such high scores. Was is it slow gameplay ?! Clunky controls? Boring campain? lame artistry ? Did you make your own mind up or did you allow reviewers too ?! Did you see everyone scoring it 10's and join the club or did you use that brain for yours to decide for you?

Long, repetitive levels. Poor graphics. Horrible AI. Uninspired hero. If they're going back to what made Halo 1 "great" then I'd expect a pretty **** game.hoogiewumpus

Long, sandbox levels, brilliant AI at the time, and a fantastic story. Thats what Halo: CE was, and some of the reasons why it was great.

Btw, poor graphics compared to what?.
