Halo 4 outpacing COMBINED Black Ops 2 preorders, COD dying?

Halo 4 preorders are quickly outpacing Reach's preorders, and Blops 2 preordered are disappointing compared to MW3's.

Halo 4 preorder sales are beating the COMBINED preorders of Blops 360+ps3.

Is the oversaturation/fatigue of COD finally starting to kick in. IS COD only going downhill form here? I hope so!

I pretty much predicted that this would eventually happen, but I wasn't sure when.Anyway I wouldn't be surprised if Activisions legal troubles in the last year or so had anything to do with this decrease.

Yeah, but the Modern Warfare 3 hype started what, in march? Trailers months in advance, etc, we havent hardly seen any marketing for black ops yet, trust me, it'll be there at launch.

I'm trying to contain my excitement, but God please let this mean that CoD's bubble has finally burst. It's not a particularly large decrease however, at least not yet. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But I am hopeful.

Sorry I had to say that. In truth I am excited that CoD sales look like they will be slowing down.

To be fair not many people "pre-order" CoD.

They kinda just get it when it releases. Base sales have always been high compared to pre-orders for CoD.

CoD will still sell incredibly well. I'll be buying both.

BO2 is still going to make more money but Halo 4 will be the better overall game.

I think people liked Halo 3, but it wasn't the Halo they wanted. Maybe this will be the one eh?

I'm guessing people are getting tired of cod. Halo 4 will be much better anyway.

Well not only that, but think of how many people will say "oh the setting and stuff is different, therefore this game will be more enw and different, therefore it's worth my time." And IMO Blops has the second best campaign, beaten by 4.

While I agree that CoD has made the FPS market huge and over saturated, there are still alot of great games that aren't FPS out there across systems. You just need to look for them. But yeah I tihnk it's bad how the series gets so much attention when its far from the best series on the market. There are so many other great games more deserving of peoples' attention.

The the only shooter i want this year is Far Cry 3.

Oh, you do now Halo 4 was announced a while ago(e3 2011) which means there are more weeks of pre-order then blops 2. If you really want to compare the 2 then look at the week one pre orders of both games.

Nope. Halo4 just has more dedicated fans. Black Ops will outsell it by 300% though. Even on 360 alone Black Ops 2 will outsell Halo 4 by a large margin.
