Halo and Metroid - Two sides of a coin?

Which has aged better? Halo or Metroid?

First, be aware that this is NOT "GS SCORE IS WRONG" it's just some information. I am not saying it is important. If this gets banned (like some other posts I have maked on other subjects) please tell me why.

This is stating from after Halo came, so original metroid and super are not included.

I know this is gamespot, but I will be refering to other places as well.

So apparently Metroid Prime 1 is a tiny bit better than Halo: Combat evolved

And Halo2 is a small bit better than Metroid prime 2

As for Halo3 and Metroid Prime 3, it looks like it's too early to tell.

EDIT 2: AND PLEASE! Saying Halo is rubbish (which some people have) is stupid! It's the tied 3rd best rated FPS on gamespot EVER (tied with MP) The sames is for MP. Halo 2 is also the best rated fps on IGN.

Why is Halo 3only 7.2?

both have had increasingly worse single players (but still fun) but at least halo has a great multiplayer to go along with it

I think Metroid is a better series overall, but.. well.. I don't really like Halo at all :?
Then again, I don't play console FPS's.

The original Metroid prime was better than Halo 1 (and 2 & 3).

But after the original Prime, the Halo series took over.

Metroid Prime because:

Metroid Prime Pinball>The rest of the known universe=Pie

Halo>>>MP

the story is better in Halo than MP for sure. for sci fi story mp is poor.(just my opinion)

and ofcourse multiplayer is fantastic in Halo.

Halo=Way overrated, a new GoldenEye it is not.

Metroid Prime 3 delivered probably one of the best single-player experiences I've had since Halo CE (I prefer Halo CE's campaign to Prime 1, even though Prime 1 was good). The more multiplayer shooters I play the more I long for a solid campaign, or TF2 ;), as it seems they're all getting quite run-of-the-mill.NECR0CHILD313

I never claimed they were new. But they ARE things that Halo has over Metroid. That and movie, screenshot saving/sharing for both single player and multi.

I've never liked Halo's Single play, but Halo 3 had an amazing SP mode. The music, the choreography everything was excellent.Metroid still wins on SP experience though. Its just class.

For SP - Metroid

MP- Not even mario kart can touch halo's multiplayer

Twilight Princess? Actually sold 312 000 gamecubes within the 3 months afterit released... And that's a lot when it sold like 5000 average other than those months.

Also the game has sold 5million copies (GC and Wii togheter) That's more than gears.

But what more can compare to Halo`?

I said that it is not the best the game ever, but that it is a very good game.

And if overrated, why did it then get high user scores? What players think make a game good, right? RIGHT?

Man, I played halo at my friend's but didn't find it as good as MP3, yet people do, and I accept that.

Yea Halo is a good ok game.

But I mean look here its 9.5 Halo 8.5 Metroid.

IGN Super Metroid 9.5 Halo 3 9.5 Metroid Prime 3 9.5.
