-A full 32 round AR clip can't kill someone.
-The pistol now finally has a scope again, HOORAY! too bad it also has a terrible hitmap which makes it inaccurate at any distance you'd actually need the scope for.
-sometimes it takes 3 melees for a kill.
-game is faster now... Which is good if you like MW type games, but really ruins the dynamic of "halo gameplay" IMO. I'm not at all sayin' MW gameplay sucks, I'm just saying it sucks in a game like halo.
-Loadouts are so useless, except for switching back and forth between block and jetpack.
-Jet packs remove any real strategy from the maps since you can just fly wherever you want to go.
-Block is also ridiculous. I find it preposterous for any FPS to have an "invincible" button. It totally ruins it when youre having a duel with someone, and youre trying to outsmart each other, you get the upper hand on the guy finally, then he pulls his block BS, at which point his friend comes over and kills you... Teabagging begins.
-Overall I think the weapons in this game are TERRIBLE... Plasma grenade launcher, regular grenade launcher, focus rifle(aka laser gun), are all a complete joke. The marksman rifle, needler rifle, and pistol are essentially the same gun in 3 different forms( all are single fire, medium range, weak).
-All these new game types suck. I just wanna play CTF's and slayer.
-New MW ripoff ranking system sucks also.

They should really just call this game Halo Warfare, or Call of Halo.

This, I say if it ain't broke not fix it. This is why I will just wait and see how black ops turns out. Supported COD since it was a new IP hope it doesn't go downhill like MW2.

Well, I for one don't expect any sequel to be the same as its predecessor, if that was the case, it would be a pure rip off. The point is not that a game has changed. Halo 2 changed from Halo CE by including a totally new MP experience. It wasn't bad. But, the point here is how to rate that MP experience based on the previous installements. After all, we don't judge sequels from another franchises. And judging from the previous games, this was takes a downhill pill. Especially if you loved Halo: CE LAN parties, and SP.

SO, I respectfully diagagree with all of those points. Halo CE is my favorite FPS ever and I thought Reach's multiplayer is the best one yet. There's just so much variety to the gameplay, and it'll be amazing to see all of what the full game has in store.

-Block is also ridiculous. I find it preposterous for any FPS to have an "invincible" button. It totally ruins it when youre having a duel with someone, and youre trying to outsmart each other, you get the upper hand on the guy finally, then he pulls his block BS, at which point his friend comes over and kills you... Teabagging begins. Thats the whole point of it :|

Yea, the blast radius was a bit too much. Even as an elite, I would use evade to dodge and still have some damage lol

The thing that bothers me most is how they are obviously trying to add features similar to MW. That's just dumb. This series became popular by making a completely unique FPS, and now it seems like they are just recycling the same game while ripping off ideas from other(recently more successful) FPS games.

I don't remember MW having invisibility, armor lock, evading, and a jetpack LOL. Sprint is the only MW vibe I got, but it still feels very natural to Halo. You can't even choose what gun you want before you spawn, it's always the AR. (Cept' Invasion, but classes are needed)

* pistol IS reviased back to its full former glory, you're just making up plain BS here
* melee kills depends on position and timing, the emphasis has switched to assissnations
* loadouts add variety where players can choose their strategy for each map and game type
* jetpacks have as much vulnerability as they do advantage, you are an easy target in the sky
* armor lock isn't as overpowered as you make it out to be, any smart player can outmaneuver it, just stand back and time a good grenade throw
(as long as team mates aren't around, and have you ever been surrounded by 3 enemies while in lock, it doesn't end well :P )
* just your opinion on the new game types, lots of people LOVE Invasion, Generator Defense, Head Hunter, and Stockpile is the superior version of CTF... you just admit to not liking variety, which won't affect other players enjoyment of the abundant variety Halo games have always offered

Your biased opinions and made up BS, all symptoms of your pre-emptive damage controlling, are some pretty clear signs of how threatened you feel by a game before its even released. You want to imagine it'll fail (advertised in your Topic Title) and make a very poor attempt at reasoning how it would. Which means the jokes on you, there are many more gamers EAGERLY anticipating this game, even the CE fans :) :)

exactly and the reason that FPS are adopting the ranking system is because the overwhelming majority really like it.

not really what did they rip off? The rank thing/ load outs? load outs a pre set you can't customize them, only the host chooses which ones are aloud in slayer or so and that's it, after that it pure halo pick up gun and shoot. still don't see what the MW2 thing is comming from. you your self said 32 shot don't kill(although thats BS it takes a good 15 to get a kill) thats 5 times as many as MW2's 3 shot kill its got going on. then halo reach has loads of diffrent ways to make the MP longer lasting with thonly similarity between it and MW2 being that there is experience. Reach has customization and credits MW2 has waepon/killstreak unlocks. you can't call for bonbers in reach nor an AC130 (although a jet pack and gerandes is better than any AC130 could ever dream to be). Reach defiently =/= MW

Have you even played the Reach Beta? I saw on your gamertag you don't have ODST, and you said you are a fromer Xbox 360 gamer. Let me guess you played it at a "friends house"

I killed people with a clip from my AR, not sure about the pistol, but it does not seem to have any problems. The melee seems to be similar to Halo 3s, the

Loadouts are not useless. Jetpacks add strategy to the game some maps they make you into skeet targets if you use them the incorrect way. I have not heard of block. I am guessing you mean Armor Lock, and if you get killed by the guys teammate while waiting for him to come out of armor lock it is your own fault, cry all you want to about it, but you should keep an eye on the radar and the area around you.

(EDIT: Out of the loadouts I found that cloak is one of the better ones for me; however this does change on the game type and map)

I am sure you never used the two grenade launchers or the focus rifle, they both are nice weapons. The Plasma grenade launcher is anything but a joke.

Sure, my old gamertags are Bosniac, and GTI Matador (I drive a VW GTI).

As far as XBOX 360 is concerned, I play mostly PS3 now. And have little use for it other than some exclusive games. I don't think it's worth $5 per month for Live

It says you have never played ODST nor the Halo Reach beta. Which leads me to belive you played it at a friends house for 2 hours and juding it by saying it takes more then a clip of AR to kill someone???? LOL you have know idea what you are talking about, i bet you havent even used half of the weapons that are available.

-A full 32 round AR clip can't kill someone.

AR is in need of serious buffing. Currently feels incredibly weak.

-The pistol now finally has a scope again, HOORAY! too bad it also has a terrible hitmap which makes it inaccurate at any distance you'd actually need the scope for.

Hitmap has already been confirmed to be fixed for the fall release. Furthermore, the pistol excels at close to medium range - although the hitmaps are off slightly, they were always consistent. Aiming toward the forward always resulted in a kill on an unshielded opponent, and at medium range you should be aiming for the body to take down the shield anyway
-sometimes it takes 3 melees for a kill.

Never seen this, in anyway of my 150+ games. Haven't heard much of it on the Reach forums over on Bungie's website. Likely just a rare glitch on you're part. Though I hope you reported it so that they can look into it.


-game is faster now... Which is good if you like MW type games, but really ruins the dynamic of "halo gameplay" IMO. I'm not at all sayin' MW gameplay sucks, I'm just saying it sucks in a game like halo.

Some aspects of the game are faster, while others are slower. General running speed and jump height are not as high, reducing the base movement of characters - in fact making effective strafing difficult. This is compensated by the AA's promoting movement, such as sprint and the jetpack. Kill times are longer (Much longer compared to CE), which also adds to the slower feel of the game. Lastly, the hearkening back to CE's health system further slows down the pace of combat.

What I believe you are talking about is the sense of speed that comes as a result of intensity. Bungie has stated Reach is going for a more team oriented approach and as a result firefights in the beta are much more intense and have much more actions happening.


-Loadouts are so useless, except for switching back and forth between block and jetpack.

You're using them wrong then. Evade is an all-around useful ability. Sprint's benefit is in its versatility. It allows you to get to power weapons faster, close distance with CQC before someone can recamp, or retreat quickly from a battle. Camo is great for confusing defenders in objective games on the position of your team, and allows you to obviously sneak up on people if the person knows how to use it.
-Jet packs remove any real strategy from the maps since you can just fly wherever you want to go.

Jetpacks also make you a huge target. You're taking a big risk in flying in the air. If anything, it adds strategy because everyone has to be conscious of paths jetpack users can take. Not to mention you can't go anywhere - the levels were purposefully designed so as not to give jetpack users a dominating advantage.
-Block is also ridiculous. I find it preposterous for any FPS to have an "invincible" button. It totally ruins it when youre having a duel with someone, and youre trying to outsmart each other, you get the upper hand on the guy finally, then he pulls his block BS, at which point his friend comes over and kills you... Teabagging begins.

Agreed. I dislike armor lock. Breaks the flow of the game and seems to reward bad players. However,
-Overall I think the weapons in this game are TERRIBLE... Plasma grenade launcher, regular grenade launcher, focus rifle(aka laser gun), are all a complete joke. The marksman rifle, needler rifle, and pistol are essentially the same gun in 3 different forms( all are single fire, medium range, weak).

Why are the first three weapons joke? The plasma launcher is a weapon of mass destruction against infantry and vehicles. The grenade launcher's EMP makes it ideal for taking out shields and disabling vehicles. In the final days of the beta I could use the grenade launcher to weaken several opponents at once so my team could finish them off with precision weapon. With a cool head, I could even direct hit most people in the open, killing them even if they had the drop on me. The focus rifle is a suppression weapon and it excels at what it does. The marksmen rifle and needle rifle are obviously counterparts to each other, with nuanced difference (DMR has stronger base power, recovers from bloom faster, but the needle rifle suffers less bloom per shot and can supercombine for splash damage). It wouldn't be fair if the Elites didn't have a suitable weapon to compete with the DMR. the pistol is a different beast entirely, being most effective at close range and having a much lower delay between shoots. It seems like you don't understand the situation to use each gun
-All these new game types suck. I just wanna play CTF's and slayer.

They have the old gametypes, and added new ones. You can play CTF and Slayer if you like, but people that want something more also have the choice to play one of the newer game types.
-New MW ripoff ranking system sucks also.

Which aspect of it rips of CoD? The arena functions completely different to CoD - and the military rank was already done in Halo 3.

Are you talking about the credit system? Because that's the closest thing to CoD ranking system in the game, and even then the credits are tied more to armor customization than an actual rank

They should really just call this game Halo Warfare, or Call of Halo.

#1, 2 and 3 are facts. And they are simply incorrect. There is no other way of saying it. An AR CLIP DOES KILL SOMEBODY. 2 BASHES ALWAYS KILLS SOMEBODY. PISTOL IS ACCURATE AT LONG RANGE. Those aren't opinions I'm disagreeing with, those are facts. And they are nothing but terrible and despicable lies.

The rest are cool opinions. And opinions from people who apparantly want sequels to be the exact @#$%ing same game as before. Thst just soundds boring.

Like the new weapons. You're jsut stating your opinion, but really, they are just as cool if not cooler than current Halo weapons.

You only want to play CTF and Slayer, and yet Halo 3 hadd a ton more gamemodes that weren't those. At leeast Halo Reach dramatically improved the choice in maps and gamemodes from Halo 3.

Shield block isn't that bad... it's as simple as throwing down a grenade at the right time so it blows when they pop out of it. Your point about jetpacking eliminating ALL STRATEGY AND SKILL IN THE GAME OMG makees literally no logical sense.

The TC was one of simple lies (AR clip doesn't kill somebody? try actually aaiming and someone and THEY MAGICALLY DIE!) and dumb opinions

There was nothing constructive about his so called "criticism" at all, I pointed out more than enough flaws in them, thereby exposing the flaws in his opinion. Opinions don't always stand on their own. Supported by facts, they hold merit. Not substantiated, or worse yet being counter to facts, just shows them for the bias that they are.

The beta was terrible, Halo has really gone downhill, the weapons are lame, really bad map design, it just feels outdated and unbalanced.
