Halo fans the most crucified videogame fanbase?

They should make an official thread to bash it and suspend anymore people who make more bashing threads about it because it's just way too much IMO.

I guess you know you are a HUGE game when so many people mock you and hate you. Cause the more people love you the more people will hate you because something is popular. It's the most common thing with people to bash something that becomes huge just to see it fall down or in many cases with Halo cause they don't have the game for their console.
But yeah I think the amount of trash Halo gets only cements how huge of a game it really is.

It's called an Opinion. I think it's the best FPS of all time personally. I don't care what other people think is best. I like what I like and Halo bashers and whoever don't mean shyte to me cause I don't play based on what's kewl by other peoples standards. Hell I thought Killzone was a really good game and could care less what the majority of people think which is that the game sucks

Well common sense is everything has an exception and if something is bad or done bad people will mock it to.
But if you dont see what I'm saying then you're either lying or a blind fanboy cause everyone with half a brain knows that when something is loved by many people it bashed lke crazy. Do you see many many threads bashing a game like "Enemy Zero" for the Sega Saturn? No it was a small game people didn't like much and that was that.
People also bash MGS and Zelda etc.. Or people who bash the Beatles, Nirvana, Green Day. People bash things that are huge cause it's way up in the sky and it shadows many things so it's hard to avoid and not look at.
People also bash bad things and the PS3 has done a lot of things wrong and should have done better being the champion from last Gen, guess you're just trying to be devils advocate or you don't get that

They never experience Doom, Duke Nukem, Perfect Dark 64, Meteroid 64, Golden-eye, Quake, Counter-Strike, Half-life, etc... Actually the was Halo implement vehicles and co-op and playing with allies was new. It's in how it is done that is new not just coming up with new things.

I've personally played ALL of the aforementioned games. Now obviously it is based on my personal taste, but the feeling I got the first times I played these games and then played Halo is not even close. I simply had MORE FUN playing Halo and Halo 2 than these games. I guess that's where people's opinion of Halo being the best FPS comes from. The fun-factor.

I have been gaming for about 14 years and I can say that Halo 1 is among one of my top game experiences, right up there with Perfect Dark. I have to say going from using one joystick to two was an incredibly positive feeling. It just felt so good and the A.I. was mindblowing at the time. This is my opinion.

I've personally played ALL of the aforementioned games. And if you read my post you would see I said how Halo implement vehicles is what is new and innovative. Not using vehicles. It's like horror films, all the elements in horror have been used before so does that mean horror films will never be good and refreshing? No. The Ring proved that and the Shining proved that even. It's all in the presentation and how you do something. Anyone can swing a bat but it is how you swing it that makes you different. That's why many people loved Halo cause to us it was done brilliantly. If it was done crappy and was just a copy I doubt millions would have bought it but we're all entitled to our own opinions

Xbox always were better at shooters or FPS IMO. I had PS2 and Xbox and now 360 and Xbox always does it better it seems and a lot of reviews seem to think so too. I personally love the triggers on the xbox controllers that feel like firing a gun when mixed with the "last gen" rumble lol

Every thing I said in this post was opinion. I never once state it was fact. I never once in this post critize on people who think Halo is the best. I only gave a reason on why people might have. Sorta like playing the advocate of the situation. I'm not Yo_Foo. I can say that innovations is the last thing Halo did. but I can say Halo did a fine job putting the puzzle together.
