*Halo Forge Mode - No Need To Compare It To Anything*

People hyping this feature are basically doing it because of the bad reception Halo 3 has gotten so far. If your happy for the feature, good for you, but braggin about this feature and comparing it to true level editors like Little Big Planet is pretty desperate.

This is very exciting news for Halo fans, I'm just imagining what it would be like to have someone spawning items in the middle of a game. It sounds like hours upon hours of fun.

Not just Halo fans, things like this appeal to us all :D. The "really great online FPS drought" PC has gone through for the last 2 years is swaying me towards Halo 3 all the more now.

BTW, a HUGE reason Halo 2 Vista scored a 7.0 is because it's a 3 year old game that was originally built to run on a console with 64mb imbedded RAM. Aging probably had something to do with it....

How is it ownage when you dismissed Halo 2 for PC as a "bad port" with no facts what so ever. GS said it's literally the same game, and that PC gamers probably won't care about it. But of course, they said that in a nicer way.

It's in this months EGM, an interview with Bungie with lots of new stuff revealed. There were leaked scans. I saw them. Lots of goooood stuff, with this headlining.

So I see this has turned into yet another "HALO SUCKZ" "NO IT DUSNT!" argument..

Can anyone do something useful and help me out? I want to know if this has any confirmation to it. I don't see why Bungie would hide this from us, but the only "proof" (that I can find) is a forum post from a guy who won't post a scan..

We'll have to wait for hard, definitve proof but going off Bungie's history of how they deal with these stories, I'd say 99% likely.

Way to point out the point of my post. It's rated high because it's the best console shooter. Read any review it will probably note on that. Do you really think if Halo was released for the PC only, anyone would give a s***? Look at Halo 2 for PC, 7.0. The godly Halo franchise goes PC and gets a 7.0. It was a 9.4 Xbox game, and when it went PC it didn't get a 9.0, an 8.6, or a 7.9. It got a 7.0. what does that tell you?

Personally i don't care abotu scores, but you wanted to use them to back up your argument so there you go.

What does that tell me? It tells me Halo 2 is an old game that has been out for years and didn't change/udate for the PC very well. Had Halo 2 release for the PC at the same time a it did on the XBOX it definitely would have scored higher than it did.

Okay, I disagree with the notion that this is "icing on the cake" because I would not call this "icing" per se and I would not call Halo 3 a "cake." If you do, fine, but let me address the question I've raised:

Timesplitters had a fully customizable level editor, so on that front, Halo is still behind. It's mechanics, graphics, and gameplay are essentially up to the developers, but this level editor isn't something to throw a party over.

Its a welcome bonus. When a developer goes out of their way to include things like these it always makes me smirk.

Bungie really is top notch, anyone who says otherwise is simply speaking out of spite.

This will be a short post. The Halo Forge Mode is basically a mini version of Garrys Mod that multiple people can fool around with at once. It is a great addition to the game. Neither this or a map-editor was expected or needed in the inclusion of the game.

The simple fact that it is there at all in any capacity is great and welcome.

People act as if this sucks because it's not a pure mapmaker/as deep as Garrys Mod/as extensive as LBP. None of that matters, it is there and it is cool and it didn't have to be there.

Bungie could've scrapped the whole idea at the drawing board but as usual they decided to cater to their highly loyal Bungie Nation.

Stop comparing this to LBP and just be happy that this great and surprising addition to Halo 3 is even there to begin with.
