Other than humans living in a time of space travel, Bungie and being an FPS, the two don't really have a lot in common. Destiny is probably far closer to Borderland and Mass Effect than Halo.

Around Dec. 2012 Halo had 50 million in sales and GT had 67.8 million in Nov 2012..... Nearly 18 million difference LOL

Both sides had about the same amount of games too GT (9), Halo (8)

Not too mention that 68 million number will be higher with GT6 LOL

Sorry it's only natural Halo would come out. Sony does not have a franchises game that makes money like Halo. Halo is becoming the new Star Wars, books, t.v. shows, expensive collectible toys, replica suits, have you ever heard of anyone having a Killzone or GT party? Believe it or not Halo has a pretty good story to it, but 4...... I think I like 343 more than Bungie, but then again Bungie did handpick 343 studios so it's to be expected.

I have the first 2 games....never really got into it. I guess it's good for Halo fans...but I don't think the game will have the numbers the older games had.

I never expected 343 to do a great job first time around. I think that would be unrealistic and it doesn't happen often.

lol Bungie haven't made a good Halo since 3. That was a while ago. ODST is shit, and Reach is ok I guess.

Well, I never expected that either, it's sort of a different point though. That's not exactly a glowing recommendation for Black Tusk who are working on their first GeoW game for their first time around.

I can tell you this, I did say in my first sentence that giving 343 another chance was always the plan as I didn't expect them to hit a home-run out of the gate on their first try either. I even explained this possibility they might not measure up before the game released because I follow developers.

I'm sure 343 will step it up, if not, there is a lot of fish in the sea.

Halo 3 is fuckin awesome, it peaked there. But Bungie is well over rated, any of you guys hyping Destiny are wasting your time.

Halo and Gears does about as much for me as Infamous and The Order.
2014 is looking great, D4, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2. But beyond this year I'm not sure I'll be particularly into where Microsoft will be taking things.

I found Halo 2's MP to be much more entertaining than 3's, but 3 did have a much better campaign and co-op with 3 buddies online was awesome.

But why can't we hype Destiny? Bungie can do a lot more than Halo and it's obvious they were just getting tired of it. MS wouldn't let them do anything different which is why they peaked and were getting worse at it. Now they have complete control to do what they want and make a whole new and interesting world again. It's likely going to be far more successful at capturing that magical feeling than 343 was when they TRIED to recreate the magic of landing on Halo for the first time with Halo 4's shield world. my god that campaign was dull and uninteresting save for the chief-cortana interactions.

Didn't say you couldn't hype it, but they just aren't that good anymore, I'd have to wait and see. It's strange for me to see cows hyping it when they bashed Halo, and now they hype Destiny, maybe for the exclusive content idk.

IMO Halo 2 and 3 were the best in gameplay. And yeah co-op was so much fun in 3. And hopefully Halo 2A will be awesome still can't wait. Halo Anniversary wasn't great imo, didn't like it then and don't now. I'm hoping Halo 2 A is a little more than a graphical port, because the potential that game has if a few of the newer gameplay features are added could be amazing.

Anyway, I've just seen Halo go downhill after 3, and whether or not Bungie were getting tired of it, it happened in their hands.

As I mentioned in another post, 343 could be judged this time around more so. I never expected them to suddenly take over and bang out a good game. I don't think any one could do that, it's rare.

As much as some people harp on how Halo/Forza/Gears is all the Xbox has, my counter is that if the games are continuously good I don't give a damn. I'll play Call of Duty 91 or Mario Galaxy 43 or God of war 43 so long as the game is good. I love new IP's as much as the next person, but gaming is hobby/entertainment and if the game is quality I don't care if its new or a sequel or what system it comes out on.

As for Halo in particular, I'm hoping we only get Halo2 Anniversary this year. Like Gears of War 4, let Halo 5 cook a very, very long time. I expect it to be amazing. Give 343 time to do that.
