Played some more last night, the story is building and I'm actually liking the game quite a lot.
Hardest game I've played for a while.

Arficial difficulty. They close your ass in a tiny room against a boss that 1-3 shots you and has one million HP/is a bullet sponge. Garbage game design.

Sounds like Dark Souls then.

What? You can one shot bosses. If you don't level up and use a broken sword, sure, but nobody plays like that.

Probably know better about the game without even having played anything else than its multiplayer🤷♂️very clueless tdkmillsy
@gym_lion:
I think the game was specifically designed for multiplayer co-op. You can tell by how quickly the Banished surround you constantly. They try unusually hard to kill you as fast as possible. The bosses pretty much are bullet sponges though but they're not like, *impossible* to beat and no where near as bad as Dark Souls. It's like fighting the Tartarus boss in Halo 2 over and over again. He's strong but not unbeatable.

Looks like i fried your brain with that ps5 box talk yesterday😂
@hardwenzen: not all the bosses are like that. Sometimes you will fight hunters in the open field when your doing the side mission. Beating them is a huge pita so I use scorpion against them when I can. It takes 2 or 3 direct scorpion cannon shots to kill a hunter. So yeah it's possible to use shortcuts. Even against the main bosses, if you happen to have a sprinklr on you or a skewer it will make your life a lot easier. It only becomes super difficult when your fighting a boss and all you have to rely on is a br, and a mangler. At that point you just spam the grenades or throw the coils and hope for the best.
It's funny how you know so much about halo, yet you didnt even play the game. You must have spent a bunch of time watching yt videos just to troll here

I "know so much" about halo because i follow gaming. Very difficult for some of you comprehend that. And i wasn't talking about hunters, but the main bosses/mini bosses that you fight in the interiors. I am also referring to the Legendary difficult, not some scrub ass normal mode. You might be able to cheese bases on the outside by using the scorpion, but then you're using the actual scorpion, the clunkiest and slowest POS of a vehicle in recent memory.

Naa I'm used to dealing with kids, when they don't get their own way they often have a meltdown and continually cry the same thing.

You follow games on a platform you don't even own to the point of knowing how the game plays.
Sure you do.
Why would you watch videos on game you have no intention to play or even like, other than to try and troll it in a forum.
Unless of course you have nothing else to do. I'm betting you go a lot quieter when kids go back to school.

Big talk for someone who plays on easy. Why are you even talking about legendary? You wouldn't last 2 minutes on legendary. I myself could probably pull off heroic, but it would take me a bunch of time. Legendary isn't something I would even bother with. Spending that much time on one game and stressing out when games should be fun, and when theres ten other games on the side to finish is something for masochists.

Its not masochism. If the game is good, its worth experiencing the game the way its meant to be played. In most games, the highest difficulty is just the standard Hard difficult from 20 years ago. I beat H1, H2 (was the hardest), H3 and Reach on Legendary solo and coop🤷♂️If you think this is as hard as it gets, you try something like Doom Eternal on Nightmare, especially the first dlc and then talk to me.

Currently playing Heroic and boy is it hard in places. Simply diving in and hoping to survive just doesn't work :)
Not sure where I am in the game and don't want to spoil it for those that are playing it, just jumped through a portal after being attacked by ships I forget the name of.

yes, it takes a bunch of strategic thinking to play on the higher levels, you can't rambo your way through. If 343 ever manages to make the "new game+" mode, then I'll try it on heroic. Who knows maybe even legendary, to pull off wierd flexes here on GS like hardwarenzen.
I think I know where you're at, you still have a ways to go before you reach escharum and his right hand man.

Yhhh, just finished it yesterday – liked it, was largely enjoyable with some obvious homages to previous entries, although it felt like it tapered off a little towards the end where they seemed to run out of ideas as to where to take it. That aside, the open world element kept it fresher, and I probably enjoyed it more than I did Reach for e.g., just not as much as ODST/OG Halo.

The robot, Escharum to an extent, the harbinger and those Spartan killer brothers aren’t really designed as run around a tiny room and shoot them until they die type of bosses in infinite. The first three bosses are designed like that.
@super600:
I literally just shot the Spartan killer brothers to death with a Ghost aimed at a specific point. It was a lot easier than they talked it up to be. You can tell that 343i was expecting you to do the fight on foot. lol
@nagaman: I'm sure the game is enjoyable playing solo and I probably will do that if co-op takes too long to arrive. But I'm holding out for now so I can play it fresh co-op with friends.

Yeah and this wasn't even a challenge when I can just use the Ghost or the Banshee for that matter. 343 aren't really bright on how to make sub-bosses more fun to fight.
Just finished main campaign.
Overall though it was a decent 8/10. 9/10 is a bit too much for me unless you are considering Campaign and multiplayer together.
Story wasn't bad at all with some good atmospheric parts. However I feel as a whole they have set it up for the next game and I hope the next game doesn't feel the same way.
Music was a favourite for me as was the gameplay especially with Grapplehook.
Was challenging on Heroic, the last part taking ages to figure out.
On to Horizon Zero Down next for me.
