Holy shit did some of you lems sent out a wave of bots to log in into the game after you saw that pathetic 900 players online?😎😎😎Probably Kvally's doing.
No, you just claimed your victory an hour before the season even launched in North America lol

@hardwenzen: I think Jim Ryan did it. PS developers are playing Halo instead of making games for 2023.

Communities that love their game, will usually log in hours in advance to get "ready" for the patch. Seems to me like nobody gave a crap.

How much did those 10k bots cost ya? Must be a fortune. You're so rich, bro. No wonder you bought the Edge controller on day one.
Honestly I loved Halo, but the minute Bungie stopped making it it died. What we are seeing is a reanimated corpse being controlled by a necromancer that resembles Phil.
I'm not much of a MP junkie as I used to be. I really wish 343 would do SP content DLC and that's all I really want.
They abandoned split screen coop because they needed resources (confirmed btw) for their Offline Service, and you think they have a budget for the most expensive part of a video game? They're supporting this game on Welfare checks at this point.
Community Playlist with forge maps/games modes is a nice addition. This is what I wanted to see, a matchmaking mode for forge content. Forge is arguably one of the best things about the game. I like the mechanics but the forge has so much good player made stuff. So Kudos for finally putting a matchmaking mode for it.
I'll definitely hop into BTB tonight, since the new bandit/AR will be the primary start. Having sidekick/AR start just didn't feel right for the game mode. It will be interesting to see if the more competitive modes will get bandit starts. Oasis looks like a dope map for BTB as well
The other two arena maps look alright, I guess. Don't care much for gun game. I hope we get infection somewhere down the line this season.
Infection in forge games is clean.
Cows back to talking about Halo now Ragnarok is long forgotten.
Ragnarok came by, won everything, ppl beat it, and like every singleplayer game, it's over. Infinite on the other hand has been delivering drama for a year n a half, and that pleases me greatly tbh.

They could add the multiplayer content into singleplayer really easily. That cool new semi auto rifle, the ray tracing features...
I don't get why they keep this content multiplayer exclusive, when I'd see myself replaying the singleplayer portion much sooner than ever jumping in online.
@R4gn4r0k:
I strongly doubt that 343i will ever release anything for single player content. They've gutted split-screen and have shown zero interest in sp since then. At this point, we'll be lucky if we even get Firefight this year.
I don't play halo games much, not a big fan. Feels generic to me. Green space man with machine gun, yah!
Wondering though, is the issue people have with infinite the slow trickle of new content? It seems like the game itself is pretty good. Is this like destiny?
The gameplay is indeed pretty good.
Game has had a LOT of drama. Delays, graphics, promised content not coming for a long time or outright cancelled (splitscreen), new content not coming for a long time, glitches with matchmaking especially for custom games, the cosmetic store, the battle pass and especially the xp system tied to it.
Summed up I would mostly call that mismanagement. Somehow the campaign and multiplayer are both pretty good at the end of the day.

Like I said soon forgotten
It was that good you get more pleasure talking shit about a game you haven't even played.
Sad really.

What game isn't completely forgotten on the X? Your HI FI RUsh was forgotten under 24h after release🤣People have finished Ragnarok, and there is no dlc that is being made for the game, so why exactly would they be talking about it again? You aren't thinking straight, ps5less gamer.
@TheEroica:
Halo is actually one of the most unique fps games out there with tons of lore that would make Call of Duty jealous. Plus, the entire idea of controlling super soldiers in power armor is pretty badass. "Green guy with a machine gun" is a gross over-simplification.
No thank you. Seems like most people say no thanks.
Hunt: Showdown has more than double the players of Halo: Infinite. And Hunt is niche.
How many players a month on Hunt? a million?
No idea, but highly doubt it. And what I was talking about was only on Steam. Hunt had ~11k active players while Infinite had ~5k when I checked. Most people might be playing Infinite on MS's platform.. If Infinite had 600k players last month, should be much more than Hunt.
I apologize. Halo Infinite pulled a BF2042 and the game is good now. Really enjoying it and I was just playing Alex, BF, COD, over the past few days. This is the best for me personally. Just feels right.

Nice!
I will never understand the appeal of multiplayer shooters. I get that they are a lot of fun for a week or two, but you eventually have seen and done everything there is to see and do.
I really enjoyed hopping back into Halo: Infinite mp with this recent update. Liked the new maps and the cloak grenade thingy was pretty neat. Finished the challenges for storyline pass so will hop back into it again in a few days when the new one starts.

Each game plays out differently because your opponents are different. Each opponent comes in with their own strategy for winning the game. Sure you've played a Capture the Flag game a few times but sometimes the other players are easy to beat or make you work for it. That competitiveness is what makes multiplayer games fun for those people.
Most people probably download on Windows Store directly and Steam is lucky to get the Halo Bump this time.
@hardwenzen: keep hating, the numbers are already sky rocketing, and most players are on Xbox, not pc.

Proof? Last time i checked, the game wasn't even in the top 25 most played on xbl, so if you think that people will choose to download of the garbo windows store over steam, that's some high quality copium.

That depends. If the game offers a lot of content like BF4 did, there is more than 1 week worth of content there. Secondly, if you enjoy the gameplay loop, you really don't need to unlock anything new, just using what you have is already fun. And lastly, improving/gitttin gud is also a sense of progress, but zoomers haven't heard of this one, so its very alien in their daily life.
@hardwenzen: there's a million players on Xbox, possibly more.
Prove it. Go on.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights on the recent Halo Infinite Season 3 update! It's great to hear that there are new additions to the game, such as new maps, weapons, and playlists. I appreciate the recommendation to give the game another try, despite some occasional issues. It sounds like there's a lot of fun to be had, especially with the Community Collection and Social Big Team Battle playlists. I'll definitely consider checking it out.
Hi Phil.
@hardwenzen: go see the chart that seargentd linked above. This is proof and ir was before season 3. Halo is growing exponentially. Ooff rekkd

You're still in denial🤣The game is going back to 2k players🤣Nobody will log in into a live service with one new map per year and waste their time buying armor colors for $8 a pop. Its a failure, and people have noticed.
