Halo is the greatest multiplayer experience available

Halo is great, no doubt. I still prefer CS, though.

I concur... I'm not a Halo fanboy.... people who bash Halo are jealous fanboys. I'm not saying its not okay to dislike the game. Not everyone is going to like the same thing.... but there is a reason why its played so much, and why its loved by so many people. Most of the hate comes from angry PC fanboys.

Why would we PC gamers be angry? Its not like we are hurting for quality multiplayer games... there is little demand for Halo on PC anyways...

Counterstrike is all I have to say.

halo 3 matchmking sucks. You'll find a match only for it to be dropped and you'll have to wait until another is found, it's quite annoying.

I didn't mention PS3 games because those controllers are horrible for shooters. I almost puked when I tried playing with them.SSCyborg

Its Subjective, Halo has its problems and CS is way older and played more then halo 3

Halo 3 is definitely an awesome game. The best available, that comes down to opinion.

I agree, Half Life is a consistently high-quality series that has spawned (or helped to spawn) the worlds greatest multiplayer shooters; Counterstrike, Team Fortress, and Left 4 Dead.

Halo 3 is amazing but I've had much more fun with Company of Heroes and FIFA 09.

Anyways, I'm not going to deny Halo 3 is a good game with a great multiplayer experience. But best? I'm sorry, but Team Fortress 2 takes Halo 3, bends it over, and makes it its *****. Free updates, constant support, infinitely more variety, and a fun-loving fanbase make it superior to Halo 3 in my eyes. You may call it a cluster****, but I see it as an enjoyable, fast paced, and unique FPS that no other multiplayer FPS has managed to surpass. I realize that raging fanboys like to put Halo 3 on this elevated pedestal of greatness, but you guys are going to have to realize one of these days that Halo 3 is not the best. It's great, but not the best in any sense of the word.

Ive had alot more fun in BF2 and 2142 then i ever had playing Halo 2 or Halo 3 at my friend. It is a nice game but i just dont like it.

And there is no "perfect" MP game for evreyone. But it is good, but so is BF2, BF:BC, Killzone2, Uncharted2, Gears of War 1 & 2, Medal of honor: Allied assault etc.

I agree, Halo 3 is the most solid multiplayer experience available. It's easy to pick up and challenging too, it just delivers a lot of good ol fashion fun. Something alot of devs seem to lose track of.

Don't get me wrong i love me some battlefield and COD but i always go back to halo for that change of atmosphere.

I disagree. Battlefield 1943 was the best online experience I've had. COD4 was the first online shooter I actually enjoyed. And I have played halo lol

I think Uncharted 2 will have the best multiplayer for me, i loved the beta.

I find it hilarious how you say this post is just your opinion while touting it as fact. If you dislike Halo, then hey that's fine. There is no need to bash an entire community.

As for this topic; No. There are better MP games out there than Halo, and that's coming from a Halo fanboy.

I love Halo games but i prefer their singleplayer and coop. Multiplayer wise its:

1 - Battlefield Bad Company

2 - Battlefield 1943

3 - Left4Dead

4 - Halo 3

5 - Gears 2 (horde)

Someone here has not played planetside or hardware:online arena to name 2

I'm going to be honest. If you think TF2 on the PC is a cluster**** it is probably because you aren't good at it. You have gotten used to the clunkiness of Halo and it's console brethren. To those of us who have been playing PC games for a long time it is more of a controlled chaos. Even when your team is bad you should be able to see it and try to work around it or work with the few good players
