Halo - mediocre? REALLY????

Seriously, I used to own the 360 and I finished the halo single player but just couldn't bring myself to finish the halo 2 single player. Its just was not as good. Halo is good, Halo 2 not as good.

Half Life beats both.

I was explaining why I don't think that halo is the second coming. Its multiplayer is good, maybe great, but the single player is seriously lacking. And guess what they hype, single player.

Buts its not just a mulitiplayer game.

I despise Halo. Its boring, unimaginative, extremely derivative gameplay, level, weapon and character design bores me to death. I can recognise that people can and do enjoy it though. I don't. I feel according to my tastes that it is one of the most overrated games to ever be released into the gaming market.foxhound_fox

You probably will want to argue that you can shock the water to electrecute all enemies in the water, but that really isn't exciting at all. I remember in the demo there were a couple enemies who seemed determined to stay in the water so you could shock the water and kill them. I ended up just shooting them with the machine gun.

You can despise Halo so I can despise Bioshock.

halo is so mediocre, that every fps of the past 5 years has been compared to it. so mediocre that it single handedly kept the xbox alive. so mediocre that its still talked about, played, and hated on even today.

How can you make fun of Halo's gameplay when you are a Bioshock lover? To stay alive in the demo, all there is to it is shock and kill the crappy AI that pretty much runs directly at you (reminded me of Oblivion). I did not see a single enemy take cover. As far as weapons, there was a wrench, a pistol, and a machine gun. And the end of the demo trailer showed that there would be a rocket launcher that would not be challenging to use (extreme lock on). Oh, and magic/spells like shooting flames (never seen that before eh?).

That's exactly what it does with the SMG, if you just hold down the trigger you will quickly find yourself shooting the ceiling.
