Halo is boring and way overrated. 360 fans think this game will put them over the top ... LOL I can name several games better than Halo ... Call of Duty series, Resistence Fall of Man, Killzone, Half Life, plus SEVERAL new shooters coming to the PS3 and PC. Aliens and goofy looking soldiers. I don't get it I guess. I was never impressed by Halo. I'm sure 360 fans could care less about this post, but I just want to see who agrees with me? JDW_games
Does not deserve to be mentioned alongside those other great shooters you list, or even Halo.Â

I'm also going by my personal experience. I rented it (thank goodness) and was not overly impressed.
And yes, when the industry as a whole gives Killzone the thumbs down, you can go by reviews. Because maybe it's not everyone else. Maybe it's you.Â

I could care less what the "industry" people say. I go by what I see and what I play. To me Halo was just stupid and still is stupid. That's my opinion.Firstly, yes, you could care less about what the industry people say. That little phrase actually detracts from your point.
Secondly, I wasn't talking about Halo being overrated, I'm talking about how games like Call of Duty, Resistance and Half Life are so much dang better than Killzone. Yes, an opinion is not a finite thing, but in the end an opinion is only as good as it's foundations.
Thirdly, you say you couldn't care less what people in the industry say (which I assume is what you meant), yet you create a topic complaining about how the industry and your fellow gamers have overrated Halo.

Yeah. Let's talk about literature instead. The sort of notion that facts are subjective came up in 1984, I recall. Where facts didn't really exist at all. If the majority called something a fact, it was a fact. Daunting prospect, if you can manipulate history like that, as in 1984. >_>[QUOTE="Danm_999"][QUOTE="PannicAtack"][QUOTE="Danm_999"][QUOTE="PannicAtack"][QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="JDW_games"]Please don't reply to my post if you don't like it. And CrimeStop. People here excel at that especially. >_>Killzone is a great game. You can't go by reviews. Killzone is FUN unlike Halo. JDW_games
See, we have to go by reviews because everything else is just an opinion. For example, my opinion is that Killzone is a steaming pile of crap that doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Halo or any of the major PC shooters.Â
Killzone is a great game. You can't go by reviews. Killzone is FUN unlike Halo. JDW_games
We go by gamespot reviews here in SW btw.. if you don't like it leave.
I personally liked Killzone but no way is it even close to being as good as Halo :CE or even Halo 2 really. Stop trolling
Honestly in my opinion Half Life 2 is the most overrated game ever. Thats right, I f***in went there. pundog
I can actually understand where you're coming from there. I mean, if it weren't for the incredible physics, it'd pretty much just be Half Life 1 with better graphics. Don't get me wrong, I love Half Life 2, but I can still see how a lot of people would be disapointed with it.Â

Â
oh the hypocrisy! it's almost too much to bare!
Â
So I guess every respected source in the video game world is wrong about halo, and you are the savior showing us the light? ("the light" being that halo is T3H OV3R-R4ATED!!! ;( !!! )
Â
p.s.I like how you say aliens like it's a bad thing, who are you fighting in RFOM again? oh right, ALIENS. I thought RFOM ha a terrible story, it was essentially another WWII shooter...with aliens...and the nazi party didn't rise to power and there was no world war 2...
Â

Then why are you trying so desperately to try and force your opinion onto other but yet you, "couldn't care less*" (it's COULDN'T care less, get it right kid)

That doesn't make much sense.

oh, and your little double post there has nothing to do with the topic, so you know, you're just trolling and it's pretty obvious.

?
The game is good, not the best in most opinions, its the arguably the best on consoles and still is able to compete with many good PC shooters, so I don't see whats the problem...
Its a quite old game also now... the enemy's for its time had good AI, the sounds where nice, the environment's gave alot of mood to the game, the multiplayer works fine. I don't exactly see your problem with this good quality game.Â
Also if you don't think its fun that's ok, because as many know, the're alot of games that have nothing in them that is wrong, but somehow for yourself doesn't become fun.Â

SW is a society where doublethink exists. For example If sony says rumble isn't important and graphics are it's automaticaly true to cows. There are even three factions (sheep cows lemmings), just like 1984. ITS ALL A HUGE CONSPIRACY!
I don't rate it. Rainbow Six Vegas is one of the most under rated imo.
Edit: scratch that, i mean Half Life 2
