No, no, no. I'm not trying to bash this game.
So, today I started playing Halo again (yes, I have played it before). I'm about 3-4 hours in right now, and I haven't noticed anything especially good about it. In fact, I've noticed many bad things. First of all, why's the gravity the way it is? When I jump I feel like I'm floating. It's probably like that because it's basically in space, but it's annoying. And what's up with the tunnels that look exactly the same? Seriously. I don't know how many times I've become confused running around in the tunnels, and I haven't even mentioned the rooms in the alien ship yet. Oh, man. I thought I was running around a circle. I thought I went back everytime I saw a room that looked exactly the same as the one 5 minutes ago.
And the enemies. It's the same enemies all the time. I don't know if this is going to change when i get deeper in the game, but so far, it's been too repetitive. The whole game is actually pretty repetitive; kill some aliens, open a door, kill some more aliens, open another door, kill some aliens again, this time 20 more of them, push a button to open a door.
Can someone tell me what it is about this game that is so freakin' good? All the reviews say it's one of the best games ever, but I just can't find that 'best' thing about the game. So far, it has only been an OK game. 7/10. Maybe my opinion will change when i've beaten it. Let's see.
