halo overrated ? no!

anyone who says this games single or multiplayer is overrated has NOT played it.

halo 3 was the best game iv played in the past 5 or more years its epic and deservers all the hype and praise that it has gotten.

halo haters can go back to playing mario or heavenly sword :lol:

i have 1000/1000 gamerpoints in it and i can tell u that its overrated but still a good game the single player is nothing near epic the story is quite bland if u ask me and don't say read the books, don't make a game out of it if the books had such an interesting story....the multiplayer gets old with its 5 maps and stupid matchmaking of game types like shotty sniper in team slayer....honestly needs more options to it.Masta--Killa

rrr i have played it both single player and multiplayer and i think it and the series has always been overrated. halo has brought nothing new to the fps genre and other than being one of the better (CONSOLE) fps there is nothing special about it.

and if this is the best game you have played in five years... you really really really need to expand your gaming library because there are many many many better games than halo 3 in the last five years.

1) in my sig, i own all 3 systems im no fanboy

2)sure doesnt feel like 11 more will be added no doubt but still fix the damn matchmaking make big team battle ranked and much more that can make mp better

3) i don't like the story one bit from halo 1 to 3 the story seems like it was just drawn out to expand on 3 games making it feel slow and wondering when it will get to the point instead of mindlessly building up.

if it doesnt feel like there are 11 maps then you havnt played it long enough. go to ign and there are fly throughs of each of the maps to prove this.

is it true that there is 4player co op for system link and online... but not splitscreen?

that was the biggest dissapointment for me

Id also like to ask how Halo's health system, two weapon system, use of melee and grenades, etc.... arent revolutionary. You say it brought nothing new to the genre but Im sorry to be the one to say it brought everything to it. For better or for worse Halo is now the game that most FPSes are based around now.

rofl all i gotta say is thats all been done and halo used the health system and 2 weapon at a time system to keep balance and less difficulty in their game. Its been done....the forge has been done on pc for years in much more complex ways the theater can be done on pc with any game and even consoles with some hardware.

I dont even need to reply to that. I jsut have to laugh (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and realize you have only been playing fps since 1999 and then laugh some more (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.) hell play marathon lol it has more than half of what you think is so revolutionary about halo... and it too was developed by bungie... ok... I have to laugh some more (HAHAHAHAHAHA)

Halo brought nothing new to gaming, people that have been playing games for more than jsut these last two gens know that. those that have not are ignorant to the history of games.

Yeah, that really irritated me too. That was the only complaint I have with the game. The multiplayer is the one of the best on consoles(yes I have warhawk), it's extremely fun. I'm not terribly nitpicky about games, so I don't have a lot of complaints about them. I play games that are fun to me and I don't try to disect them.
