Halo reach gameplay vid shows graphics not as good as originally shown?!

I dont know if its because the graphics will be downgraded for the MP, but after seeing the new gameplay for reach MP it literally looks like Halo 3 with jetpacks and uppercuts, i mean yea it looks fun but doesnt look near as good or groundbreaking as fanboys are making it out to be. It still looks stuck in 2007 in terms of FPS gameplay..

Halo reach is very lucky to be a Halo title because if the same exact game came out today but with a different name, it would get bashed into obvlivion for not beeing innovative when compared to other shooters like Bad company 2, MW2 or Killzone 2. The vidoc showed amazing graphics but this new vid doesnt look much different from Halo 3 at all in terms of graphics and even the sound effects are kind of meh.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but i really think people are hyping this game so much because the 360 really doesnt have a game worth hyping and Halo reach while it doesnt look that impressive is atleast something for fanboys to hype.

This might be the first Halo game I like. And the graphics are fine fanboys always overexaggeratethings.

Neither of those 3 games were innonative, just quality games.

There is a vid doc out that shows the single player game and it looks great as for the multiplayer i think this is the 1st we have seen any proper footage so not sure where you get the downgrade nonsense from being the mp in halo has always looked worse than the single player game.

I don't care if this game looks good or not, but how can you judge the end product when it is at ALPHA stage, and in the process of being polished (like Bungie said).

It looks fine. You have to understand that this is the MP, so of course it won't look as good as the campaign.

Believe it or not, but some people don't mind having visuals that aren't up there with Crysis *gasp* I know right? Why bother playing a game that doesn't look better than real life?

Yeah, but Halo 3 sold gobs and gobs of copies, and it wasn't that great looking. I mean, I know the fanboy's tried to play it off, but that was a shiny Halo 2, feature rich of course.

I think Halo fans have accepted Halo isn't the prettiest, so if REACH is as feature rich as Halo 3, but looks better, they should be very happy, and it will sell gobs and gobs of copies like Halo 3 did.

As far as looks, I don't think it's going to blow away anyone (especially those with both consoles), but Reach should have a couple of nice shiny moments here and there...especially for the fans of the series. Those guys will be very, very pleased at some of the new stuff/new graphical effects they see in Reach.

First of all, It's the ALPHA build, second of all, It looks a lot better than Halo 3 already.

How do you know it hasn't innovated at all? Have you played it?

Them copying Infinity Ward or some other developer, is NOT innovating. I'm actually very happy they didn't copy anyone else (looks like they didn't) and continued improving the forumla they already had. The forumula that made Halo 3's multiplayer my favorite multiplayer game.

The graphics looks amazing and it sounds great.

P.S. It will outscore and outsell Killzone 2(system wars for ya ;)).

How "is there way more stuff going on screen at once than previous halos" its MP, by the looks of the trailer it had the same exact vehicles and samey weapons only difference was jetpacks.. Kind of cool i guess but those where in Warhawk so nothing entirely newKennysolidsnake

Every single person who has a Xbox 360 has most likely had the change to buy a PS3. Guess why we haven't ? WE DON"T WANT ONE. I will buy Halo Reach and play it's multi-player for years to come. Can't say the same for Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Gears of War or any other game (maybe Lost Planet 2).

No, Halo 3 added little things and effects from beta to final. Also, that was MP footage, as well as the fact that did you see the glimpse of the nicly decorated grassy field, that looked great. Might be that some maps look better than others or they are not finished polishing other maps.

I think it's fair to wait and see, but I also think it's fair that 360 owners should expect Halo to look better than KZ2. Especially since KZ2 is over a year old now and becauseMS was saying when KZ2 released they had future games that would be better.
