I personally think it has, i think Metro 2033 looks better. I think in terms of shear graphical splendor even Empire: Total War trumps it.

however. From a purely technicall standpoint Crysis probably still is the king. I mean when you factor in all the effects, draw distance, textures etc etc.

I think Napoleon/Empire Total War looks better than Crysis, but it's hard to compare a Strategy to a FPS.

Crysis is the graphics King nothing will change that I'll just post a few more pictures

The most important thing about games are the intense graffffixsss! And if it doesnt have some sort of "king" title then it is a flop and suxxxxxxxsss

Well to answer the rest of your edited post:No console game can come close to crysis, saying any console game can touch crysis in terms of raw technical power is pure fanboyism. However there are PC games that can touch crysis, specifically Metro 2033 many consider to be on par of better than crysis, especially unmodded. There is also ARMA2, Empire total war, shattered horizon can all come close but none truly match crysis.

2011 is the year it seem that it will get dethroned by either: Shogun 2, Witcher 2, or even just crysis 2.

Reach looks meh-tastic graphically anyway.

regarding Metro 2033, which i played on 360, i thought the graphics were pretty good on that game, the sense of atmosphere was impressive, but to be honest, i thought the game was a bit of a bore-fest. not the best graphics on 360, fable 2 has really great graphics, there is such a fantastic art style and in the country side, the flowers and colours are mind blowing in HD if the in gamed lighting engine is giving off a nice bright sun effect.

And there in lies the problem. You really need to play it on PC with a Quad Core and a decent GPU for it to wrestle with Crysis for the so-called title of 'graphics-king'.

Agreed. I have had the missfortune of playing Metro 2033 (albiet for about 2 minutes) on 360. Graphically the 2 versions may aswell be different games. 360 looked truly awfull after the PC version.

In reality crysis's graphics arn't that amazing. First you need a very expensive gaming rig, second you need mods to make it look awesome (very high looks bland), with mods on it then plays at 20 fps even on the most expensive pc's which is unplayable (without aa too lol). So I don't think crysis is that amazing afterall. The only problem with Reach is that it has no dynamic shadows, but the rest is just breathtaking.

Im in Australia too, my newest PC, i bought a few months ago, cost me $1200 and has a GTX470 1256mb (or whatever it is). Was without os though but was a custom pre built.

From what I have seen, I think it is right up there with the best that the 360 has to offer. Especially when you take into account the art, use of color, scale of some of the environments and the atmosphere. It may not be a technical juggernaut on all fronts, but with all variables weighed together it is indeed one beautiful looking game.
