I don't think it will, the gearbox hint was nothing more than a load of rubbish - that the employee himself hinted at being a joke. Was the dig at Halo really necessary btw?Ravensmash
gearbox ported Halo:CE to the PC :S could be the same setup bungie does the xbox version and porting duties are shifted off to other companies and why loose out on all the potential extra sales?

Exactly, Halo 3 had Bungie at MS and MS focused on the 360 and getting exclusives. 3 Years later Bungie is independent, MS looks to be getting back into PC gaming see Fable 3 see Kinect, the 360 has never had so few exclusives... It all aligns. I think the people who don't agree just don't want it to happen. It's gonna happen.I was thinking about the rumours that gearbox dudes hinted it was coming and it makes perfect sense. Bungie is now independent, MS is looking back at PC gaming, if you drop you fanboy hats an look at the situation it makes perfect sense for it to be a timed exclusive. It's been on the PC before, Fable 3 is coming, Kinect is coming, Bungie will make more money, I bet it was in the original Halo Reach contract. What are your thoughts? Personally I don't care, Halo on the PC is lame, controling the game with mouse and KB shows how slow it is, and how lame the weapons are etc. But I know a lot of you would like it. FriendlyGaimz
Dear god no. Like we want that generic noobified excuse for an FPS.

I'd want it.... unlike popular thought there are people who enjoy these experiences on PC, and that's the great thing about PC, we got everything for casuals, hardcore and inbetween.

Halo 3 wasn't on the PC. Why would Halo: Reach suddenly make the jump? And before you go dropping that talk about Bungie breaking away from Microsoft, Microsoft owns the Halo IP and already has 343 Studios working on another Halo project. PLUS Gears of War 2 never came to PC as well and that was developed by Epic Games. Oh and let's not forget about the death of the PC version of Alan Wake either. If anything your talk about there being a lack of exclusives on the 360 is more of a reason for it to stay exclusive because Microsoft realizes they need solid support for the 360, hence no Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and Alan Wake on PC. They are keeping these games exclusive to give people a reason to buy a 360 because there are hordes of fans out there for them that will drop the money on a console to get the new Halo or Gears games. And also I'm a PC gamer myself and I had to laugh when you said Halo is a casualized FPS game. I never cared for Halo before but after picking up 3 and running through the multiplayer quite abit, it is still a pretty solid experience and holds up very well despite a few minor issues.

What does art style and graphics have to do with how casual a game is? Last time I checked it wasn't designed for all ages..... And actually it requires a fair bit of skill to get kills in and the action can be pretty fast paced too. Maybe you just aren't that great when it comes down to the FPS genre and things seem to move slower for you because of that. I'm not saying Halo is the best FPS multiplayer experience out there, that awards goes to Team Fortress 2 on PC, but it is definitely a solid experience. And a total noob can get a clean up kill on any game, it isn't that hard.

Halo 2 Fable 1 PC ...... Halo 3 Fable 2 no PC..... Fable 3 PC Bungie independent. hinted rumours. Kinect PC. Looks like Reach is going to the PC to me. You are still proving nothing. Halo 3 still isn't on the PC, neither is ODST. So why would Reach suddenly go PC? How come Gears of War 3 doesn't have a PC launch? With Kinect Microsoft is trying to get the most massive appeal for that device possible to push sales further, plain and simple. And it was one guy hinting at Reach going to PC and that has already been pretty much confirmed as a bust. Also Microsoft still owns all rights to Halo, not Bungie. It doesn't matter what Bungie would want to do with the game, they have no control over it. Even if they wanted it to be on the PS3 or Wii and took the time to actually develop it, it wouldn't happen because Microsoft owns the rights and the last 2 Halo games have been on the 360 exclusive. Again why would it suddenly make that jump when the last 2 entries haven't? And again I pose the Gears of War question. Epic isn't under Microsoft and yet Gears of War 2 isn't on the PC and there is no plans, hints, or rumors of Gears of War 3 coming to the PC either.....
