[QUOTE="Manly-manly-man"]That is one game, not all games. It has been proven that if a developer wants to, 16 and even more players can be supported. Why is it any different for World in Conflict? And even if they can't get 16 people, which they most likely can, why on earth would they leave the maps the way they are, just to have them be half full and boring? That makes even less sense. If anything, they will make new maps for the Xbox 360 to make sure it plays well.cobrax25
because its an RTS...which seem to be more demanding to servers.
16 players on the PC can be done through P2P just fine (hell, it can do even more)
but apparently it cant with an RTS cause they seem to be more demanding.
Just a question... Who is to say that the 360 can't have dedicated servers? I know that Shadowrun had some (I played it on my PC against 360 players. This is all while in the dedicated servers).
[QUOTE="jetthrovegas"]Console RTS's are a stupid idea to begin with.

Not if done correctly. What if Halo Wars turns out to be a fantastic game?
Even if they are done "correctly" it is still a stupid idea to port a genre to platforms where said genre will be inherently handicapped.
I can gurantee you that Halo Wars will suck when compared to the PC's awesome RTS line-up.
Why would you play RTS's on console? They normally aren't very system taxing, and the controls are categorically superior in every way.

I would argue that RTS games can be quite system taxing. Have you played Supreme Commander? It's one of my favorite RTS's along with the Command & Conquer Series, which can also be system taxing. And you are assuming that RTS's are handicapped, when they don't need to be. Halo Wars is being designed to be controlled easily using a controller. The controls look pretty intuitive. And the graphics look much better than many of the RTS's I've seen on the computer, and believe me, I've played my share.
