Not bad, I personally LOVE both games. Though, I think Killzone 2 deserves WAY more sales for its beautiful design.
Anyways, good for Ensemble's swan song :) Supposed to hit a million in the coming weeks coming the highest selling rts

I'm surprised. I thought the RTS genre would scare some fans. As the TC said, good for Ensemble. IronBasswait a month you can get it for 4 bux at gamestop, most of them will be traded in when the kids realise its not a shooter
I can only imagine the number of Halo fans that bought the game just for the Halo 3 maps.

The ones that can't wait until ODST is released.

Yeah... Good for a company that is closing down.
In any case this is really being sold on the Halo name mostly, much like the 50 Cent games were sold on name mostly. Shallow RTS is shallow.

There are honestly quite a few of them that actually enjoy the game, but I can't help but think alot of them though this to be a FPS. Especially with microsoft's misleading advertisement(there is no gameplay so people can only assume it's a fps like the other halos).

Here is the ad that I see on TV. It's very misleading to those who don't keep up to date on gaming.
lol go check out ebay and see what the Mythic Map packs are being sold for, you will not believe how stupid the bids are up to.I can only imagine the number of Halo fans that bought the game just for the Halo 3 maps.

Shame on Microsoft for no gameplay, but shame on those who blindly buy it without looking at the back of the box.
Better proof then any that games can sell on name alone. Silent-HalYea it's not like it's average score is a 8.3/10 out of the majority of gaming websites or anything like that (sarcasm).

Yeah I bet the legions of console owning RTS fans just lapped this up, am I right? It had nothing at all to do with Halo being slapped on the box, right :|?

I'm just saying man, JS ;). Now if the average score was a 6 or something like that then you can make an arguement about the "Halo brand name" being the ONLY reason this game sells, but when the average is an 8.2/10 (not 8.3 srry) why should it be suprising?
Is it just me or is VGchartz highly biased towards the 360? 250k in 2 days, how does that have any indication it will "most likely get over 2-3 million sold and will comfortably go past the 1 million mark"?
Thought there's always the hype trend where games usually sells the best the first few days when its released and then it lowers as time moves on.

Oh please, not more of the misleading advertising bs. This is not the first game that has used only CGI for a commercial. So I guess the Halo 3 believe ad was also misleading because it should be a game about toys? This is only getting outlashed because it has the name Halo in it.
[QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"]Its Halo...it could be a card game and it would still sell millions :Plawlessxjust think how successful that halo MMO would've been if microsoft when thru with it  My imagination isnt big enough to imagine that. Microsoft would literally just start printing money.
somehow this doesn't seem fair, i mean fairplay to ensemble, but halo wars is rubbish compared to killzone 2, what are all the ps3 owners doing? there are 17 million ps3's out there, don't they want the top title on there console, to all ps3 owners, get off your backsides and buy a copy of KZ2, FPS>RTS on consoles.delta3074Let me get this straight, you want ps3 owners to buy K2 just to prove a point?

Please tell me he is joking. not everybody likes FPS. I do, but not everybody. the PS3 community is far more diverse in terms of taste than the 360 one. KZ2 wouldve sold a lot more had it been a 360 exclusive..

It has no gameplay and people only know halo to be a FPS. Note I said this is misleading to those who do not keep up to date on gaming. Game use CGI for thier commericals but you can clearly see why type of game it is most of the time, you cannot tell that halo wars is a RTS from that advertisement.
it was alays going to happen...
Its a shame though, Killzone 2 is incredible and really deserves gears 2 type sales...
You read it wrong it's saying "Halo Wars selling roughly on pace with Killzone 2" not it's sells more than Killzone 2 in America.Link

Or paying attention to the Xbox Spotlight, watching any gameplay videoes or playing the free demo that's been up for nearly a month now.
Not surprising, infact, it's EXACTLY what I said would happen, and was screamed at for even predicting it.

There around 54 other videos on IGN, hundreds of pictures over 60 articles, a demo, and the back of a box. If they miss any of that then they deserve to be disappointed. And I still stand by my point of CGI, this isn't the first game to have a CGI trailer and is only getting the title of misleading because of the name Halo. If this was any other game with the same type trailer and was a RTS no one would care.
The realists here weren't expecting solid Killzone 2 sales. No matter how great a game it is, it's on the PS3, where sales trend lower. The current economic conditions, mixed with Sony's refusal to price cut, have left too many people financially seperated. What's worse is that the "window of opportunity" for KZ2 sales is pretty narrow. If Sony doesn't price cut until, say, October, it may have passed.Anything halo that doesn't sell at least a million is either really bad or not halo at all. Sucks for KZ though, that's alot of effort with not as expected results in terms of sales.
