"HaloGearsForza" has come back to haunt lems again

These are all M$ knows how to make. With the news of them cancelling the new game Black Tusk was supposedly working on to make another Gears. Where are the new franchises at M$? Instead they keep clinging on to declining shooter franchises that nobody really cares about anymore.

For another generation all of Microsoft top IPs are now pew pews. Titanfall(multiplat), Halo(passed to lower studio), Gears(passed to lower studio)...all safe investments, but certainly not a reason to think their games will ever be worth buying a console for when all the multiplats are inferior.

The last Gears was bad, but similarly I'll be damned if I ever play the most recent God of War either. Point being, all First Party series have nadirs.

Cows foam at the mouth of a possible new Uncharted game on next-generation systems, and when it's found out that a new Gears of War game is being worked on the next generation systems, it's "same old same old." Fail.

After a decade of trying Sony can't beat Halo, Gears or Forza. How many average Killzone and Gran Turismo sequels are needed before you just accept MS has the best FPS, TPS and racer series on consoles?

It doesn't matter as much when your exclusive catalog is far bigger to begin with. If Microsoft focused on more than just HaloGearsForza for a big chunk of the last gen, do you think these HaloGearsForza threads would have ever existed to begin with? And since you bring up Uncharted, can you imagine if naughty dog was an Xbox developer? You could add Uncharted to the list but not The Last of Us unless they jumped ship like Bungie had to do in order to develop Destiny. Maybe Black Tusk could have took Uncharted over as well.

Last gen had so many great new IPs from the start. This is a pathetic start to the gen.

At least there is Titanfall, Driveclub, Destiny and some new ish from Santa Monica and ND. Overall feels like way less originality though

The only launch game I found impressive from anyone last gen was COD2. And this was of course when Call of Duty actually was a good game .

I hope Microsoft release a Gears of War next gen collection, I have not played any of them and would love to. If the games where bad and still sold millions then I'd agree with cows, but they are generally all good games, so why not make more? So many great books have 5-6 in the series, no one calls milking on them.
