Its for portable gaming only... I have my 60" plasma and PC for gaming... its the 3D effect that gives me a headache... video games don't give me headaches, and neither do 3D movies/TV with the glasses- just the glasses-free 3D... now go play 3DS, calm down, and try not to be so rude next time, kid :)

So, basically, you are saying that I am lying about it giving me a headache? wow... just wow... it makes me motion sick, sorry, but thats the way it is. if that hurts you in some way then I hope you can move on. I've only played it twice at GameStop and both times i feel queezy... but whatever you want to believe is fine with me... i see all you are interested in is protecting stock prices at Nintendo... and you say I'm the one who takes things too seriously. And for the record i plan on buying a Wii U at some point... like I said, I like Nintendo games, but I'm not going to bs my experiences out of blind brand loyalty.

nah sorry its basic features are just like a Dsi.camera, internet...etc If they had taken the 3d aspect out then games wouldn't have to be tailored to 3d to garner more sales as a gimmick, and the system would have that much more power when it comes to expressing grapics....but no the systems power is cut near in half to produce the same visuals on 2 different scales for a pseudo 3d affect.

so what your saying is If I had spent 250 I should never purchases a Psueod 3d game or turn off the systems chief feture and just be happy.

Internet, and camera capabilities are not worth 250 or 169 dollars. Games that could have appeared on the DS in a slightly inferior graphical form are not worth 250 or 169 dollars specially when I already own a dsi XL and a DS Lite. 3ds is a marginal upgrade over the DS in terms of graphics and capabilities,dont believe they couldn't have updated the DSi to play Nes, Gba or such titles not when certain groups managed it.

I'm having a hard deciding for N64, GC and Wii. They all lacked the same thing (although GC has better 3rd party, but worst 1st party out of the three imo).

Nothing can touch the SNES.

Um, no, it's not. There are a ton of great games coming out later this year. I fail to see why people think it's a "failure."

Pretty much. 3DS will probably be solid for a good few years though, it's sales aren't *THAT* bad to even really compare to the Virtual Boy. Didn't Virtual Boy fail so hard it basically didn't even last a full year on the market befor the plug was pulled?

Then again Nintendo is already having to slash the price, and making revisions to the 3DS hardware after just a mere months on the market. Basically that's what happened with Virtual Boy, only difference is with virtual boy even price slashing was no good to save it. Virtual boy is probably the lats time they had to react quite this fast to a poorly received launch, the difference is I think it's pretty obvious the 3DS will at least be "viable" for 3 or 4 years after the price cut and the 2nd analog stick is added. I still don't plan on ever getting one though....

Sometimes 5 games are worth it though. Not great for what was a top selling console, but 5 games are 5 games.

with titles which are 5-10 years old? i ve played mario koart zelda starfox on N64 back then, i loved them BUT these definately are not the games i want for a new system , iwant to play something new, are you guys happy for OoT and Starfox 64?
this is like ps4 having it's debut with Crash bandicoot Remake and destruction derby and robocod.
this is unacceptable.
p.s about the 2 analog stick, battery life , 3d effect which you paid for and however you are advised to turn it off(what for did you pay 3d for then?) .... What were they thinking????????????
