MGS4; at the end. Miroku32

Without the risk of sounding like an alpha male no game has ever made me break down and cry, I did get emotional with a few games, the recent one being MGS4 when Snake had to crawl through a giant Microwave. Didn't cry but felt it inside. Well ok I did come damn close to crying with SoTC, it was the part when Agro fell into the river to his supposed death before the last colossi... I love that horse  I was never so attached to a game character as I was with Agro.
I've played quite a few video games, but the only game that has even mildly moved me and activated an emotional receptor in me was the ending of Bioshock, good ending of course.
and the only movie that has activated a legit tearful response was Benjamin button.
SoTC really got me tooWithout the risk of sounding like an alpha male no game has ever made me break down and cry, I did get emotional with a few games, the recent one being MGS4 when Snake had to crawl through a giant Microwave. The game is one emotional punch after another. It's not enough to kill cute innocent colossi and then you lose your Horse, the one true companion in the game that helped you numerous times and is a joy to ride.
Course he comes back in the end but you get turned into a Baby! Why oh Why!? Superb game though
Why? Does that happen when you cry watching a movie? And don't say you don't cry at movies either because then you probably deserve that hand...i like to think if i ever cried at a video game a hand would emerge from the screen and give me a sharp slap round the face and tell me too stop being so ****ing wet

FFX, MGS3, uh...that's it that I can think of.
OH, no, also Shadow of the Colossus for some strange reason. The ending, to be specific.
Video game storytelling, as someone previously noted, is indeed mediocre at best more often than not. However, I think some games transcend this rule.
But FFX is not one of those games (:P). I just played it while something very sad was happening in my life so it was pretty easy to get me upset.
I do think not a lot of video game stories are as engaging as we'd like them to be but I also think that some of the people just don't let themselves get emotionally involved. Not exactly trying to act tough but would rather distance themselves from it because they just consider it as face value entertainment. Not saying that's everyone but I do think there are some games can do this.
MGS3, MGS4, Shadow of Collosus, Final Fantasy VIII, and a few others. I'm a cry baby but it's fun.
No game has ever made me cry before.
Closest to feeling emotional was thinking how depressing the endings were for Dreamfall the Longest Journey and Phantom Dust.
