Yeah, right now I am crying over how bad Hitman Absolution is.

After sneaking by hundreds of people - paranoid people, that is (they can make out your disguise in a split second) - when I am finally to kill the target, I find myself being jumped into a cutscene where a Mexican Gorilla beats the sh!t out of me (the rest is even worse). No, you can't kill your target in a Hitman game, "Oh no!, oh no, you can't!" says the developer.

Masculus
LOL! Felt the exact same way.

I've never cried by definition, but I've had my eyes tear up a little from a few.

The Walking Dead is the only one that comes to mind in terms of recent releases.

Professor Layton and The Unwound Future comes to mind as well. You can't help but share in Laytons pain at the end.

The Walking Dead for me too.

Nothing else has even gotten close.   Most "sad scenes" are incredibly forced and unintentionally funny (Mass Effect 3 xD).

I cried with MGS4's long ass cutscenes. Lol it even isn't a game.

The lack of intelligence hurts...the fact that you actually took time to post a message that does not contribute in any way is, well...just a little sad.

But I did cry about the fact I have wasted $15 on a movie that can only be played on the PS3. Lol PS3 has no games.

The original Kingdom Hearts when Sora and Kairi get split up at the end while Utada Hikaru's Simple and Clean is playing choked me up a bit. Twas years ago but man that was a brilliant game. But the only one that ever made me cry was Lost Odyssey. All those short stories and Kaim losing his daughter but finding his wife and grand children was a tear jerkier, at least for me lol.

The end of Max Payne 2 really did me in. Also FFX, but I was 11 at the time, but now I, rightfully, feel ashamed of that.

Ain't no shame in that lol. FFX was a great game and seeing Auron getting 'sent' was more than any 11 year old should have to bear.

NieR, Odin Sphere, Shadow of the Colossus are three strong examples I can remember. Spec Ops: The Line didn't make me cry, but it certainly made me feel emotions I never thought a game ever would; mostly depression and a blinding sense of feeling like a total assho!e.Zeviander
The Walking Dead also does a good job of making you fell like an **** to. Just about everydesicion you make pisses off some one or ruins them. Its always a lose lose situation in that game.

How does that game make you cry? I got all the main endings, didn't see anything that could do that.

The Walking Dead. Shed so many tears for that game.

Also one of the endings you get in Heavy Rain. The bad one where Ethan fails to save his son, and is still with that reporter. He ends up standing in front of his sons graveyard and..... well you can guess what he did

The closest is probably Lost Odyssey but I never really cry before. To the Moon also almost got me towards the end.

Only Journey and The Walking Dead, I think. At least 2012 managed to do that.

I also cried at the end of The Walking Dead just because I grew to love Lee so much and seeing Clementine realizing what she had to do was gut wrenching. Don't judge but I balled my eyes out in Gears of War 3 when Dom dies. I cried several tears at the end of Red Dead Redemption too, probably the saddest ending I've ever seen in a game, next to the Walking Dead. I may have cried at one point in the Mass Effect games but I don't remember

Say what you want about FFX, but it had a good ending, yo. Also legitimately sad, in some ways.
