Per sonally I have a hard time completing ME2 while I find something like Metro 2033 extremely compellling.

So why are you asking someone that's not yourself?[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]

Yes, but that's just one reviewer's opinion. Your GotY might be different.

this.
SMG2 and RDR scored higher, i personaly would say NMH2 and Bayonetta where close and RDR and SMG beat it, but ME2 is clearly in the top 5
Not this. I'm just curious as to what others think. His point makes no logical sense: why can't I ask what everyone thinks at this point instead of just knowing Gamespot's opinion?
OreoMilkshake and you don't make any sense because you two don't have a point.

Because I want to know what others think.
I think you need to go back and reread what I said. Nothing I stated implies that only my own opinion matters and others don't.
I haven't played a single player title so far this year that was as fun as ME2 for me. While I liked the first Mass Effect, this second one blew me away! From the story, cinematics, and in game graphics, it was just amazing! I haven't picked up RDR yet, but I hear it is a fantastic title, so as far as game that I played, none have compared to ME2.
Mass Effect 2 wasn't even that good.AAllxxjjnnWhat?? I guess everyone has their opinions, but I thought it was a great title. I guess it depends on what type of games you like.
Not for me, it's my favourite game this year so far, and I can't really see anything yet to release this yearsurpassing it for me. I could be surprised though.
I finally started playing ME 2 (played ME 1 twice. Second playthrough was to do sidequests I skipped). It's certainly one of the best games I've played this year. I'm liking it better than RDR and BFBC 2, but I haven't played SMG or GoW 3.
[QUOTE="110million"]ME2 isn't even in my top 5 for this year... I enjoyed Bayonetta, RDR, SMG2, Heavy Rain, and Yakuza 3 more. The game is still fairly short when you look at it from a standpoint of purely main story content, music is completely forgetable, the action is alright but I hate TPS games, story did nothing special even when it was going on. The one thing I will admit ME2 does very well is building a universe, I just don't think they've done much from there. gunit3000
took me 24hours to complete the mainstory missions, the perfect lenght for me
Think it took me like 20 something hours while doing the majority of the side-quests (except for the missions you can find while planet scanning, only did a couple of those). I don't rush through games either, I explore every inch of an area, I go back to towns every couple hours to search every NPC for more quests and such, still don't remember going maybe more than 27 hours. Many games rival ME2. Different gamers look for different things.
I'd say RDR, GOW3, ME2, SMG2, and others that I can't remember all have a shot at GOTY. Right now, I personally cannot choose.
From the games I've played God of War 3 is maybe just a little bit below ME2. both games were awesome but the ending was weak on both
I have yet to play RDR and SMG2

Haven't played God of War 3, but ME2's ending was about as far from weak as possible. It was much more epic and dramatic than anything I've seen in the God of War games (1 and 2) for example. Bioware knows how to create an incredibly exciting and cinematic ending, largely because they know how to add drama, something most games lack these days.
RDR slightly edges out ME2 for me. RDR's ending was awesome.
But, the real game this year that will be unrivaled is Star Craft 2.
Yakuza 3 was much better imo especially in replayability. I enjoyed ME2, but after ME1 I was expecting more. I guess it was more of me feeling somewhat let down though.
