My first wii was working fine, but i was one of those unlucky ppl that had a defective sensor bar. it died on me after only having the wii for a week.
Besides that i didnt really have any nintendo console/handhelds break down, but i had minor things that bothered me. I just hated the cartridge era where i had to blow on it or clean it with cotton swab to try to get the games working. i also hated how that silver fluid kept gushing out of the double AA batteries when playing on my gameboy(original gameboy) time to time.
My Gamecube broke, nothing ever happened to my 360. These problems are exaggerated, many people make them up just to make Microsoft look bad.Israfel856
Please stop with the damage control. If it wasn't a problem MS would not have extended the warranty at a cost of $1 billion. It's ok, yes, the 360 has some problems.....breathe in....and breathe out...

Damage control? I pretty much hate Microsoft, I'm just being realistic. Fact of the matter is Sony/Ninty fans have made these stories up before.
My GC malfunctioned once...it's ability to read discs got screwed up somehow, so I sent it in for repairs and got it(the same one) back good as new. Other than that one time, none of my Nintendo consoles have had any problems.

Same thing happened to mine, but I just got a new one because the repairs would have cost as much. Plus, Platnium beats Purple!
When I had a Wii (before I returned it) it frequently freezed. That's about it. Nintendo makes solid hardware.
EDIT: Almost forgot, my SNES's AC Adapter input broke off back in the day--no biggie, though.
