Has Gears of War been forgotten already?

Well, if it has - nobody gave me the memo. I play it every day without fail. I may pop in another game here or there, but I always come back to Gears. When the Halo 3 beta came out, I played about 3 games of the beta and then went right back to playing Gears.

I'm still as fired up about the game as I was 10 months ago when it first came out. Can't say that about any other game that I've ever played. I'm at 8,900 kills and should finally get Seriously... in about a month.

Gears was a great game... but it wasnt "groundbreaking" material.

One could make the argument it's the first "next-gen" looking game from this console era, but with so many graphical powerhouses coming in the next few months, Gears is easily forgettable, but still fun to come back to once in a while.

Jealous? You don't make sence. Dude made a statement using Resistance and Motorstom as examples trying to defend Gears of War. I simply pointed out the diffrences between those games which is why this thread was made. Lemmings said Gears was one of the best games ever when they thought it was exclusive and the best looking game seen on systems.

On top of that the game scored 9.6 which xbox fans defended to the death. Alas after it's all said and done, isn't NOT one of the best games ever made (MGS *pick any one you like* comes to mind) People talk about each and evey one of these games madeeven back the the fist one made on the PS1....on the PS1.

In the end Gears was just fluff, because ofit's graphics, to hold above PS3 fan's head to try and say 360 was a better system, but the game itself was never as great as xbox fanboys said it to be...an it shows.

Also don't go saying something stupid like "jealous" when what I'm saying is relavant to what's going on in my argument. If you didn't realize that pointing out Gears score was relavent to why it shouldn't be compaired to games that are not even AAA statusthen you shouldn't be posting.
