Has Google gone insane? Their controller price is laughable

I love how people are always complaining that the PS4 controller doesn't work well in large hands. I'm about 6' 3 and have some big ass hands, and it's just fine. I actually prefer it over the Xbox controller. Although I can use either... I also like the Switch Pro controller as well. I think all three are decent controllers. Probably the best controllers all 3 have ever made.

@henrythefifth: it's more laughable to be laughing about a AA powered controller that lasts me a month, which has a rechargeable option, when my ds4 barely lasts two days and doesn't have an AA option.

$70 isn't terrible, its Nintendo level whack.

360's d-pad being imprecise/wonky is not an opinion, it's a pure fact. I'm not denying X1's gamepad is most likely the best all-around gamepad available right now (at least when we're looking at the ''standard'' price tag), even the d-pad is better than Sony's.
And how can i be a fanboy of Sony, when i hate the fact that i had to buy the extra hardware (console) just to get the games that i'd rather play on PC, where they would look and perform much better + i wouldn't be forced to pay to some silly-ass subscription to play online?

Easy there killer, I love my PS4 controllers too, but lets not tout the light bar and battery like they are the second coming of Christ.

The battery is well known to be insufficient for long gaming periods and the light bar is damn near useless...and also contributes to the battery issue!

PS4 controller used to be $70, but in OP's narrow minded peasant world Sony cannot be criticized...

I like ps4 controller a lot. I also like xbox one controller a lot. I find Switch pro controller much harder to aim than ps4 and xbox one controllers. Also I find ipad pro steelseries nimbus hard to use for shooters (as bad as switch pro).

In my opinion:

Ps4 controller and xbox one controller are my favorite to use. Ps4 feels a bit lighter and I might use it more but in terms of results is side by side with xbox one controller for me

If google controller is similar to steelseries nimbus or switch pro controller then it will be disappointing to me. Cant enjoy gaming properly in those.

The Xbox One controller (standard) is far better than the DS4 ...

It's ok if it's an add-on to an aresenal of great ganes, however this isn't the case with the x1. With the only exception of the Forza series the x1 offerings are a slim picking, and at that price makes BC on the x1 just that much more laughable. If the ps5 follows the same trend next gen, I'll call them out on it too.
