Yet another post from a cow that writes things as they wish there were rather than are, and draws flawed predictions from biased interpretation of data that doesn't remotely support their stance. When I say 'given up' I mean this...
I think Microsoft's strategy for the remainder of the 360's lifecycle is aggresive costs cuting of the hardware, multiplats and DLC. I don't think they have much planned in terms of exclusives. They have some, but one of the benefits of being significantly cheaper than your competition is that price from the get go means the onus is on them to deliver more because they cost more. I think the main reason for this is that DVD optical media is really starting to constrain developers cows have said this every year since 2005 and it has no more credence today than it did then. We STILL have a handful of games that need more than a single disc and very few genres that can't multidisc effectively. and a such the PS3 with its Blu-ray drive is more appealing until they look at userbase and attach rate...you go ahead though, cling to that hope that someday bluray will amount to something in the games market., and the fact that the Xbox is pretty much tapped out. Wishes and prayers of cows are funny. I mean do the best games from 2008 look significantly better than those from 2006 on the Xbox? Do the best games from 2009 look significantly better than those from 2007 on the PS3?It's clear that the RROD issue means that Microsot is sitting on a ticking timebomb of liability, nobody knows how many of the consoles currently ut there ill fail in the next year or so. So, that's their dime, not yours or devs. The fact that even Jasper's seem to be experiencing RROD problems suggests that this problemReally? I have seen almost no posting about Jasper's getting RROD. is so endemic that Microsoft's engineers just can't fix it,except that Jasper appears to have it down to the realm of acceptable failures. there is a fundamental design flaw that they simply cannot address. Unless of course you actually look to see that claims of the RROD with Jasper are almost non existant. As such I believe Microsoft is looking to get the next Xbox out the door ASAP, and the lack of commitment from developers to the platform kinda confirms this. ? The PS3 isn't getting much in the way of third party exclusives either...so are developers not commiting to the PS3 also?
