Has MS abandoned the Xbox 360?

There are still games coming out for it. If anyone abandoned anything it was Nintendo with the Wii. The 360 is still getting just as many games as the PS3.

They abandoned it years ago to me, up until Kinect came out I honestly thought it would end up being the best console this gen then all the momentum just died.

I think they're trying to wind down support for the Xbox 360, yeah. XBLA still offered a few to chew on this year so far. I think Summer of Arcade is coming up too which that always brings a healthy slew of new games.

They are slapping out some remake Anniversary titles out, but due to their smaller 1st party retail output, yes, it seems they are about done with the 360. That has been evident for some time to me.

They would rather go full throttle with Xbox One, than split their meager resources between Xbox One and Xbox 360.

If you're talking 1st party only, theres Fable Anniversary on the way (not a lazy HD reskin like Sony does).

On XBLA, there was AA Battleblock theatre. AA (same score as TLOU) State of Decay :P

Thens there the third party games they've secured that aren't on PS3: Theres Dark coming out, DeadFall adventures, Plants vs zombies garden warfare, world of tanks, titanfall .... I'm sure there are more not to mention Arcade summer coming up.

Oh and the new version of the 360 coming this holiday.

May 2013=12 games I believe released for the 360.

June 2013=10 games I believe released for the 360.

The 360 has a decent sized library of games, I'm sure there's some games, the people in this position, haven't gotten their hands on yet. 

I know if this was the other way around, and it was Sony who was ignoring the PS3, I wouldn't worry too much myself. I haven't even scratched the surface of the plethora of games on the PS3.

The ps3 will dominate non-us sales markets for years, so its more than worth it for Sony to continue to push the PS3.

The 360? not so much. Time for MS to focus on a high turnover rate and getting 360 owners to become early adopters of the XB1. 

I'm glad I bought a ps3...had a hunch it would be better in the long run.

If you consider that many people were forced to buy 2 or 3 xbox360 because of the RRoDs, PS3 has a bigger install base than Xbox.

Sony holds the IP for Demon Souls, and many rumors say that sony wants to make a sequel but they want FROM Software to do it. So we have to see how things go (i wouldnt mind if Japan Studio did the sequel, but since Yoshida used to work at From Software, it wouldnt go well for PR).
